The monstrous humanoid called the Bugbear has no known connection to bears, nor to bugs of any kind. So why they are called that is a riddle lost to time. However, these large, bulky beings can be found among plains barbarians, or even in more rural human settlements. Powerful yet lumbering, it is a good idea not to anger them too much.
