The Daz to Cinema 4D Bridge brings your Daz Library from Studio to your other favorite software. Now you can create with the Daz 3D content you love, no matter where you work.

Use the Daz to Cinema 4D Bridge quickly and easily
  • Open your character in Daz Studio.
  • Locate and open the Daz to Cinema 4D Bridge, which can be found at the top of Studio under Scripts>Bridges>Daz to Cinema 4D.
  • Click on ‘Daz to Cinema 4D’ in the above path to run the script.
  • In C4D, click on Extensions; find the plugin, and choose ‘Auto-Import.’
  • That’s it!

  • Morph Updates
    1. Users are able to update the morph options before export
    2. Added a Morph Controller group which stores controllers of every morph that is not hidden in Daz and organized by similar groups in Daz
    3. Proper support for FACs morphs
      • Morphs that control bones translations and rotations are now being set up automatically
    4. Convert morphs to delta morphs
      • This will significantly reduce file sizes and memory usage
    5. General morph optimizations
      • Deleted morphs that shouldn't have been included on the children objects (i.e. morphs that use a logic of checking if the figure has the bone, an alias, or the morph itself on the children object)
    6. Support for Move By Maxon Facial Capture Data
      • Automatically connect the morphs, the head rotations, and eye rotations all with a few clicks
    7. Some Morph Optimization has been created; and now delete any morphs that “shouldn’t” be on the children objects. For example, JCMs for the legs appearing on the hair
  • General Bridge Updates
    1. Plugin Location has been moved -- new menu named “Daz 3D”
      • Under There you will find DazToC4D and the new tool Connect Genesis 8.1 to Move By Maxon
    2. Fixed the bug where Auto-IK will fail if you close the DazToC4D before running it
    3. Removed the necessity of the default language to be set to English
    4. Stored paths are relative for easier file sharing
      • This means if you collect textures in the Daz export you could share the export with another computer if you save it in the same locations (\Documents\DAZ 3D\Bridges\Daz to Cinema 4D)
    5. Fixed a bug that it will not pick up animation was detected when the first frame the skeleton was at zero position and rotation
  • Still in progress
    1. Updates to Redshift are still pending
      • Added Redshift Wrapper
      • Better support for Poses with Joint Corrections
        • Can now export out a pose and have the Orientation fixed and reapply the pose.
        • Reapplying the pose can cause issues still

1. Open your character in Daz Studio.

3. Click on ‘Daz to Cinema 4D’ in the above path to run the script.
4. In C4D, click on Extensions; find the plugin, and choose ‘Auto-Import.’
5. That’s it!

Genesis 8 & 3 Content works with the Cinema 4D Bridge.

The Daz to Cinema 4D Bride works for R15/16 to the latest versions R21 and S22.
Supported render engines are Vray, Redshift & Octane.

• Strand-based hair will have difficulty transferring.
• Michael and Victoria 4 Content and Genesis 1 Content are not guaranteed to transfer to Cinema 4D using the bridge.
Some Genesis 2 Content may transfer, but success of transfer (including rigging, textures, etc.) will vary item to item.

The bridge isn’t the only way you can use Daz content in Cinema 4D — your other option is to purchase Daz items that have Cinema 4D file formats, download the manual files and upload them directly into Cinema 4D. Select items in the store also include .obj files, which can be either be added directly or converted for use in your software of choice.

Otherwise, you can export certain content out of Studio as .obj or .fbx files for use in third party software.
