Saw this amazing ski prop and knew it would be an instant buy for me. The scene looks incredible and different from any other outdoor prop I have. BUT.. before I added it to my cart I searched the Daz store for character ski outfits and found nothing. I looked over at the Renderosity store and there is only a ski outfit for V4 (as usual nothing for our poor males!)
So regrettably I am now holding back on my purchase unless anybody knows of an available male/female ski outfit with skis, and where such an item can be purchased.
Many thanks for any suggestions provided.

There is this for G2F. It is free, and IMHO pretty good quality.

Thanks Havos, I have used sharecg before, but didn't think to look there.
I noticed there was also a ski jump set there too, so will give that a try. It would be such a pity to miss out on this great ski prop for lack of appropriate character clothing.
Cheers
There is also this free jacket for M4

and if you hunt around there is a similar jacket for V4 at the same site.
Most commercial clothing shows a lot more flesh than winter wear, so not surprisingly some of the best cold weather clothing is free stuff.
There is this for K4 at this site, which should auto fit okay to the Genesis figures.

I used Cross-figure to get it onto G2M, the fur did weird things, so I hid it, but othewise it is great.
(in fact it made me go off and find a snowmobile, import and texture it to make a picture...)
Many thanks again Havos, you have found some nice items. I would never have thought to look through the K4 listings and that item is 30% off too, so will go into my store cart. Maybe my search for 'ski' items was too limiting and I should look more towards searches for 'winter wear'.
I am very grateful for your quick response to my plight, and I will now go ahead with the purchase of this prop, which I am sure will also please the PA Mely3D who created it. A very happy outcome for us both.
Kind regards.
Thanks for your reply and that idea 3Ddreamer, glad you found a workaround. I will now see what I can mix-and-match along with the above suggestions.
There is also this hat for G2F/G2M

I could not find skis in Poser/DS formats, but there is this 3DS model:
http://archive3d.net/?a=download&id=e7b00cf0
If you have (or had) a Poser World subscription there is a face mask for M4, and a hat and goggles for P4 man. Very ancient, I know, but might fit a newer figure with a bit of resizing.
What I could not find was a ski helmet, should you wish your characters to be safety aware. You could try and kit bash a motorcycle helmet for this, as there are a few of those around.
It's kind of amazing what you realize is not in the Daz store until you need it. Skiing isn't a completely obscure past time. Would be nice to see a figure sold with a skiing theme attached to her/his bundle.
Because not many people snow-ski in two piece Bikini's, especially the men ;-)
More than you might realize. Jajaja
Hah! That would be so cold when you wipe out!
What is french about the ski resort?
Don't know. There are some "traffic signs" on one promo image which might feature french text. Also the backplate might show a French alps panorama. Lastly - and my last trip to Val Thorens was ages ago - the Futuristic lift cabins tend to be a French thing from my perspective.
Most skiers just wear their sunglasses, jeans or quick-drying hiking pants, and a quilted shell winter coat and a baseball cap or toboggan of some sort. Nothing fancy. You could probably retexure one of the bib overall models though if you wanted a more 'professional' ski style clothing model.
The resort and the topography looks to be the style of ski resorts in the Swiss & Italians Alps but I'm not sure as I've not visited French ski resorts and only Red River, NM in America. I like the model whatever case though.

Bon Appétit!
I checked my content in DS and you are correct. Sorry for the error.
The ski resort looks like it belongs in a James Bond film. (one of the good ones!)
On the subject of the model itself...how much are actual props vs pictures? Are they rigged? Are the skis just the crossed in the snow, or can they be used with a figure? Can figures sit in the gondalas....are they gondalas? How do you spell gondala?
I recommend asking questions directly here: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/89306/mely3d-output-commercial#latest
The PA who created the item is very prompt and helpful with answering there. I'm not sure if this thread here is read.
Thanks for the link BeeMKay, the image posted with the scene stripped of all the ski lift items and bare is perfect and very useful on my end, will have to get this now.
Merci Beaucoup xyer0,
A very comprehensive list of items that could easily be mixed-and-matched. I did buy the ski resort so now for some rendering fun.
Cheers.
Many thanks to all the above people who replied to my initial query at the start of this post. I am very grateful for the responses and suggestions.
I feel this is a great, and very useful prop, both complete, and also for its various component parts. It will certainly serve for many varied render scenes.
Kind regards to you all,
