How do you make Figure hands auto-grab an object?

How do you make Figure hands auto-grab an object? I'm doing it manually now, but it's tedious.

There isn't an auto-grab, but with the Genesis figures in Daz Studio there are pose controls on the figure and the hands to adjust a finger, or several fingers, at one go (may need the Body Morph packs, I can't recall). Also, in Daz Studio, you can multi-select bones (such as fingers) and adjust them all at once from the Parameters pane. In recent builds of DS you can also enable the Secondary Nodes option in Tool Settings (and click the Rotations button) to bend al selected bones using the viewport tool widget.
the only type of 'auto-grab" would be if you have already posed the hand and saved that pose and also it you parented what they are grabbing to the hand. Then it's just a matter of a few clicks and it grabs what you wanted it grabbed for future reference.
Are you talking about creating a SmartProp, where the item automatically places itself in a character's hand? There's actually a whole thread of nothing but SmartProp tips here: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/39376/wouldn-t-it-be-nice-if-smartprops-worked-with-more-than-just-one-figure-ds-poser-helpers/p1 ; 3DCheapskate's SmartPlus smartprop helpers at ShareCG are especially useful.

"Smart props" work that way, when loaded the props parents to the character's hand, and then the associated pose for the smart prop moves the fingers into position holding the prop.
I think SickleYield did a video tutorial on how to create a smart prop, or included how to create smart props as part of a larger tutorial...it's been a while since I ran across it, but she did a great job walking you through the process. First time is always a bit cumbersome, but knowing how to create the smart prop would definitely be worth figuring out.
