the office, the top photo is DAZ3D's office off Facebook

  • BeeMKayBeeMKay Posts: 7,019

Well, it might, but then, digitallabs office looks rather generic to me, it looks like a lot of companies I've seen.

  • The Digitallab Design Studio model is far too tidy and posh for DAZ.

For the top one, the hair is so realistic.  Actually a lot of details are so realistic I think it is a photo.   For the bottom one it is too clean and nice to be a photo.

Giant jar looks like it's protein isolate or creatine that body builders and dieters use for meal replacement.

I wonder if it is the same marketing team as now? I've been wondering who those brilliantly evil brainwashing addiction causing people are LOL.

The 3D version has all iMacs, definitely not Daz...

Can we get some updated "daily life at DAZ" pictures? :) It's always nice to put faces to all the people that we are sort of in a daily contact with. (No, I'm not writing them daily messages, LOL. :D But we are using the software, or at least the forum. :))

The one in the back left in the black T-Shirt looks vaguely familiar... I wonder if he was ever at Siggraph in LA in their booth? Were any of those people around in Dan Farr days? I met a bunch of the staff then.

I don't see Steve's glorious face in there.

They've said before that they do use a lot of Modo, also Zbrush, Lightwave and Mudbox in their in-house stuff (I THINK I can say that without getting in trouble?).  PAs use all kinds of things.  It all has to be rigged and shadered in DS eventually so the origin of the objs and jpgs/tiffs/pngs is less important than with some areas of 3D as a whole.

I found this photo from 2007 SIGGRAPH in San Diego with Dan Farr and other Daz staff at the time. I wonder if any are still there? I actually got invited to dinner with them and have a huge group photo of like 12 Daz people and a few PAs, but I can't find that photo!

Yes, I remember the time. It's got a bit more secret since them.

It's not so much secret as a different sort of policy and work ethic.     Major changes at the top of a company do make for differences at all levels.  I have been through it in real life and the changes were quite considerable.
