James Bond Style Hair

So Im trying to do a James bond render with Sean Connery and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of hair that I could use for G3M or for G2M that Autofits easily.

Since it's a hairpiece (Connery was balding even then), you could use most anything!

Seriously, you might try one of the styles of the Boris hair. It's fairly versatile.

Maybe this thread should be moved to Product Suggestions.  I don't recall seeing it anywhere.

I would say it's similar to the Mad Men hair style.  Sort of a receding hairline, but slicked back, with a clean part.

I would ask, which Bond style?

Tried a Connery inspired render but got something that looks more like what might have been had Dick Van Dyke won the role of Bond but what can ya do?  Anyway it's G3M and the hair is from the Real World Heroes police set for M4 sold here at DAZ. I had to resize it manually and use a d-former to recede the hairline a bit.

It's called a Princeton or Ivy League, aand there is the Boris for G2M as mentioned but also there is 'the Business Haircut' at Rendo that is similar but a bit long, like a pompadour.

  • I can't think of an exact match at the DAZ store.

I have Boris Hair, but that one has a bit of a bang on the forehead. Connery wouldn't go for that during the Bond Era, and it's a bit too full. My usual hair for masculine styles would be Timeless Male Hair, but that doesn't have the perfect, neat part that you are looking for. https://www.daz3d.com/miles-hair-for-genesis-3-male-s (which I don't have), has the receding hairline down perfectly but it isn't a 60's look at all and - again-  it isn't slicked back.

Another look at the Real World Heroe's Police haircut (included in the uniform package) scaled to fit G3M, a d-former to recede the sides of the hairline a tad, and an Iray hair shader preset applied to replace the texture with a better one. It is short and has that well defined part so it looks okay for the era. The issue is its a bit pricey if all you want is the hair. But it's as close as I can find. Mylochka on ShareCG has a "Kirk Hair" which is Capt Kirk, you might make that work but it's pretty basic.

Alexios hair at Rendosity has kind of the right vibe, but I don't own it and don't recall whether it has much in the receding hairline dept.

NIce!  I have that hair but haven't gotten around to Iray-izing it yet.  It's amazing how good they can look with the current generation of shaders.

Its not receding, but http://www.daz3d.com/timeless-male-hair-for-genesis is pretty close otherwise

here's a super quick render of it autofitted to g3 and with material tweaking (the hair textures are old, I roll my own but something like UHT would also work)
