Does daz artwork I make fall under graphic design?????? Cause my sister said I should look into that field if that is what daz falls under.

    I would probably say no. Daz is more cgi art.

    I trained as a graphic designer earlier in life and it was a mix of using photographic elements, fonts, typesetting and such. I didn't find there was too much actual art invollved when I worked as a designer.

    I was also a graphics designer for 20 years. Graphic art/design is more of a technical than a creative process, tho creativity does enter into it. Just not as much as what you do with DS ;).

    I don't know any specific degrees in that area, but I went to school and studied art well before computer cgi art was a thing. 

    They likely would call it some different like these degrees in visual effects: http://www.theartcareerproject.com/visual-arts-schools/

    or perhaps modelling.

    Graphic artist would be more accurate. Graphic designer is a different occupation.

    Easiest way to understand the distinction, "graphic artist" is what you become  if you want to be happy and "graphic designer" is what you become if you want to have a job.

    @ghastlycomic Too true, unfortunately!

    @unclesben I think the Gnomon school here in Hollywood offers some sort of degrees for CGI. I've been to some free events there, the school looks amazing. If I was still in my 20's and had the money, I'd definitely look into it! But keep in mind that is primarily to land studio jobs where you will focus on ONE area, like texturing or modeling and really niche specific areas, and using advanced studio level software, not for generalists working in Daz Studio independently.
