Subsurface Toon Shaders in Iray

Just curious to anyone who has the product, does it look decent enough in Iray? I'm thinking about getting it in the Cinco de Victoria sale so I don't have to fuss with converting anime to G3 so much.

Hmmm...I should by those they have a nice claymation look
They're presets for the AoA Subsurface shader, so they're intended for 3dLight
I have the AoA Subsurface shader too.
I had a failry easy time with Gummi shaders in Iray and that was a 3DL product. I'm also on the fence about the toon shaders, may get them just out of curiosity. If you feel the price is good, grab them and just keep in mind you'll probably have to do some tinkering in the materials pane.
Based on the post below, I wouldn't unless you're comfortable with a LOT of work to make them look good in Iray.
Doesn't seem to work very well, at least not with the Uber Base shader. Blue Alien skin used here.
Actually it's not that difficult to get some good results. I've tried with both the Hitomi default skin and the Toon Shader Olive Skin here, changing the Base Color of the skin to the same value and increasing the Glossy values. Not much difference here.
I'm not sure. I've stripped all iRay textures before and gotten similar results just by changing the colors on the surfaces. Some models I would have to edit the surfaces to have enough color details and in someplaces edit textures like eyes.
So, the general consensus is no...
I've noticed that removing the diffuse texture and leaving the rest can get some interesting results: need to play with the colour after removing the diffuse texture.
For me, when I've been playing with this, I was after something recognisible; but I was using the 'idea' in a different medium, as Manga (for example) and it's animated derivative is a 2D medium; So I wanted something folks would recognise (I said that.), yet I also wanted a different look. They didn't have to like it, only recognise it, as it was to satisfy my own curiosity. I don't like the anime/manga style when it's applied to 3D; it just looks plain wrong; that was my reasoning for doing it.
I've not yet got something I'm happy with (In part because the eyes don't seem to transfer - I mean the concept of them - and something different is required); the one thing I don't like about Star 2. So when I have more time, I will do some experimenting again.
... So the consensus doesn't matter; it's what you get, and if you're happy with it. Of course if you want others to like it, then that is different; folks have a history of not liking new because, well, it's new.
Well, it doesn't really matter anymore now where the sale's over...
