Find the top part that you like, then with scaling and instances build the back.

Haven't seen anything like Starfire hair, sorry to say.

I don't think there is hair like that because it would be a nightmare to rig.  If you were to go the route Scavenger suggested, you might want to look at the hair from StudioArtVartanian at Renderosity since there's a few big volume/long hair styles that you could try combining together.

Just tried it on G3F, you can actually make it very long with the morphs, the downside is how it looks from the side but I guess it can be fixed in Hexagon or something. If you check "Show Hidden Properties" it looks like there are more morphs showing up.

As somebody mentioned some of Studio Art Vartarian's hairs could get you close.

You'll probably need to heavily postwork the style to get it to look right. Kory has a ton of hair. That said I have seen her in the gallery done by other artists so if I see the image again I'll make sure to note what  hair is used.

    This one might work: https://www.daz3d.com/antonia-hair

    Can make it very long

I used the "Streaming Hair" by Smay for my starfire pic.

It doesnt have the curls, but has nice movement morphs and materials

Olena Hair for G3F looks like it'd accomplish what you need below the neck:

Then you could just double it up with some other hair to achieve the look you need up top.  Say the aforementioned Curly Hair for Women

Sylphiad Hair also looks like it has sufficient curls for your purposes:

You can often lengthen the hair using hidden parameters, if the 'built in hair morphs don't include hair lengthening.

I need something also to approximate the bangs and the buildup ABOVE the scalp. Was actually thinkinking of making a morph to her skull that would mishap her skull but move the hair where I wanted it. *chuckle*

Twilight Hair for G3F has a lot of volume up top.  You could lower the 'y axis' into the skull to bury some of it inside another hairstyle.

Haven't tried it, but I have some longer hairstyles, maybe I'll give it a go and post a render.  The nice thing about hair is that in a number of cases you can blend two hairstyles together.

OK, this is a quick kitbash, but it should give you some ideas...

Here I've combined two instances of Twilight Hair, with some coordinate adjustments to the 'head' subdivision, scaling adjustments to 'bury' parts of the Twilight hair inside the scalp/behind the eyes, and some volume morphs and such.  The two instances are slightly offset from each other to provide more volume.  I've also added an instance of Free Spirit Crimped Hair and an instance of Free Spirit Hair.  Obviously, the hair follicles need to be adjusted to clear the arms, but it shows off well enough how you can achieve that 'Big Hair' look with some creative combining of multiple hairstyles.

My kitbash here is far from perfect (colors need to be matched, FS Hair instances need more volume adjustments, etc.) and I'm not looking to design a Starfire character anytime soon myself, but it should point you in the right direction...

    Greetings,

What about Prae Avenza hair?  It's got the curl and the body...

The bangs are not quite right.

I was thinking of using SAV Aphana hair bnut having horrible times with figuring out the handles and how they work once confomred to a Gen 3 figure.

You'd probably be better off just parenting it to your figure's head so it doesn't lose it's rigging. At least that's my experience with V4 hairs on G3.

Thanks, zombietaggerung . When I get off work, that is what I intend to do. When conformed, the hair handles either do nothing or cause the hair to EXPLODE!

Both are gorgeous but a little too straight. Don't suppose their is any easy way to put a ripple in the hair, is there?

Check out hr-137 or hr-144 by ali at rosity. I think hr-137 will get about as close as you can get with off the shelf hair for what you're doing.

A problem I've experienced with hr-137 is that the transparency map isn't super - the hair can end up looking like rectangular strips in certain lighting situations.

I like the HR-144 but I think layering that with Olena hair is going to be my best bet. I may actually have to rig a lengthy hair chain together to get the flowing hair behind her flying figure.

    Nice one, Paintbox! :)

Does anyone know if there is an EASY way to add curl to a pre-existing hair set?

if you use a modelling app: Blender, Zbrush, Hexagon and many others, it is possible; whether it's what you want, unknown. :) Not easy, but certainly not difficult.

I did this one https://orig00.deviantart.net/b04b/f/2016/305/3/1/halloween_2016_by_gx_9901-dan17em.png By combining the SavAlpha hair from Rendo and applying the hair texture to the flame trail from https://www.daz3d.com/maximum-overkill

    Nice, Galat!

    My quest continues. :)

I see a lot of hair that would work for the back but those bangs are a little ... unique. Symetrical with a curl going in at the bottom.
