We had the full moon out last night...at least it looked pretty full.  It was through tree branches that I got a glimpse, so not sure.  Sunny again today.  Supposed to rain on Tuesday.  We went from rain, rain, rain, to sunny and hot for a stretch.  Of course, we had flood warnings the other day...but it wasn't as bad as they said, not in my area, anyway.

    Dana

Do you have full moon at the same time as we do,  Cos tonight is full moon night for us.   And there it is all big and bright and shiny up there in the sky.     I love living in an area wh=ithout too much light pollution,  the night sky is pretty.

We all see the same phase of the moon it doesn't depend on geography but on our (South)  side of the equator, looking North we see the moon upside down relative to your view :0

Boonies here so the night stars are always bright (at least when it isn't overcast). Unfortunately stargazing makes my vertigo unbearable. sad

If you have a problem with starry vertigo then you probably shouldn't be placing your hand on moving images in certain books. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKCawALGeXw and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YulhuEwJ4jE

...maybe it was an unremarkable flat 3D primitive which is why they slid off when it rained.

You can still buy them new. I have wired board and mouse on two of my computers because I got tired of the Great Battery Hunt, as well as the Great Mouse Hunt. The only wireless I have are on the computer that gets put to sleep instead of being turned off, as accidentally hitting a key won't wake the monster.

I use the Logitech Performance MX mouse.  No need for a hunt for a special type of battery...it uses a standard NiMH rechargeable battery.  And it can be recharged while still in use.

    Dana

Which would leave me with the Great Mouse Hunt. My desktop is pretty cluttered.

    My physical desktop, that is.

If the d**ned thing can hun and hide while I'm looking at my screen, why can't it come when I call it?

Almost exactly what I thought! (***WTF, Sharknado!?!?!?!?!***).

It's unbelievable that Thunder Levin, David Michael Latt and company are still at large... BS of that level demands life without possibility of parole. At best.

It's weird seeing the town I grew up in being threatened by wildfires.  http://globalnews.ca/news/3588928/williams-lake-evacuation-alert/

Not sure why it freaks me out so much.  I haven't lived there in over 30 years... but it still hits hard... home is burning...  frown

Non-complaint:  Piano is my thing, but I love to hear a good harp piece.  Unfortunately they are few and far between, as are good harpists.  I always take notice when I see a harp on the orchestra stage and watch & listen for it in the performance.  But today on the radio I heard a guitar playing JS Bach's "Tocatta & Fugue in Dm" usually heard performed on organ.  The guitar performance was by "Phillip Hii". I was fascinated by it and looked it up on YouTube.  But then I got a bee in my bonnet and searched for the same piece on harp and found this.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPmKRtWta4E  It gets really good at 2:40.  What a beautiful piece that fits so well on organ, guitar and harp. yes

And while talking harp, my favorite harp piece is the "Harp Concerto in C" by Boieldieu (Bwol-dewh) Especially the finale which begins @ 17:00.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euL2KcpUzEk Don't miss the ending (@ 21:45).  If this piece sounds familiar then you either know your music or have been to the French pavilion in Disney's Epcot in Orlando it's part of the music they've played in the 220 degree theater for 30 years.

The encore after the main performance in the YouTube is a little treat.  I always appreciate an encore at the symphony.

...for myself it s an extensive knowledge of French music, and indeed it is a beautiful piece.

Never been to Epcot, was too scared of the Eastern AIrlines slave driver bots.

Yes.  Great movie...I loved when they were combing the desert to find something/someone.  Haven't watched that movie in several years.  May the Schwartz be with you!

For me, the humor of Mel Brooks was funny, but like Robin Williams only in small doses.  I liked the humor of Jerry Lewis too, but then I got over it when I got big enough for amusement rides.

I thought of an idea for 3D art but now i forgot it.   Oh now I remember it.  I saw an ad for a game for a interior dectorator game.  Maybe instead of playing that game I could use Poser 11 to decorate a 3D room and put someone in it?  Of course I have to reinstall Poser after reformating my HDD.  Why did I reformat my HDD because I thought I could run Ubuntu on it but in reality I could not so I put windows back on the machine.  Good news is that I have an empty hdd now but bad news is that the drive is nearly empty and I got to reinstall everything.

Complaint:  I just had a big lunch (tunafish sandwich, potato salad, and leftover corned beef hash) .  Then for dessert I had a piece of Dove dark chocolate filled with peanut butter, then drank a glass of nutritionless Crystal Light synthetic iced tea.  I think the mayonaise, oily hash, onions, chocolate, peanut butter, and fake tea are reacting to each other badly. sad  It hurts when I do that.  I may not do it again. enlightened
