Looking for a convenience store and/or grocery

Really, I'm trying to build an entire neighborhood, but this is a crucial element! Other elements include school-like building, small office buildings. (Stonemason's cities are lovely but way too Downtown.)  Firehouse? Cafe exteriors.

I kinda made my own for one my urban neighborhood set.  Basically, you need a building and there are several you can use for a variety of looks, but "Aemi's Shop" on Sharecg gives you the interior you'll need to fill it out.

That woudl be very much depending on the aera and the cultural context in which you build. your neigbourhood. I know Serum3d has been doing something but that was inside the store. In other situations the market stands would be appropriate as well

Sadly, I feel shops and convenience stores, especially nice shop interiors, have been quite neglected.

The PA Powerage has some shops for sale over at Renderosity.

Here at Daz you may like to look at the PA Maclean  https://www.daz3d.com/cafe-italia  for a nice ice cream/pizza parlour.

    Hope this helps.

I also have these french village shops, which are great. Certainly worth looking out for when the PA Faveral has a sale again, as this bundle comes up in sales quite often.

You mean something like 7-11? That would be nice but I haven't seen anything like that or a strip mall or so on.

There's an interior and exterior of a convenience store at shareCG.

Dreamland Models products at Daz and Rendo have smaller commercial and industrial buildings as well as homes (tends to be more 1950's-60's US architecture though).

I review a number of products for making city scenes in my discussion here where's there's a post on a school building and you'll see a Dreamland's mid-century grocery and gas station in two of the renders in this post

I also did a tutorial that's in my Reference links on my Art Studio thread, on how to build your own window and put a scene inside it. You can turn any building into whatever you like. It's using planes, glass shaders, wood/metal/brick shaders to create the sills, and whatever image you like.

PoserWorld has a good variety of cheap exterior only storefronts, they even have an actual 7-11. They're only a few bucks each and they were on sale about a month ago for 75 cents each when I picked up the ice cream shop. I didn't buy the 7-11 or I would post a render.

Definitely thinking about American convenience stores although some of Le Village could work. That Aemi store over at ShareCG is useful if I can get the textures right and Poserworld is a complete revelation.

Here's some images of the convenience store imported into DS.

Personally I'm more interested in interiors than exteriors of stores. A supermarket or store with shelving and with everyday products. I can construct these with bits and pieces from Daz and Evermotion stuff but it would be nice to have a real store interior as is. Granted that are product names on items might fall foul to the corporate copyright big brother.

scoopey at sharecg made a wonderful kit, the Modular Shop Construction Kit.

Here's a freebie with empty interior shelves. Not quite what you are looking for as you have to add all the products. It also as an exterior which you can see here.

Thanks so much for your tips, RGincy. Every so often I come across your city thread(s?) and I'm amazed at what you've been accomplishing. Your expertise on the subject is invaluable. The school you mentioned went straight to my wishlist.

Glad it's of help. Feel free to post your neighborhood to my city thread as you build it.

Can anybody tell me if fugazi1968's corner store works nice with 3Delight also?

I have been looking for much the same sort of street sets.  TruForm, BlueTreeStudios, and 3DC at the same site have a variety of shops and storefronts.

oh wow! Thank you so much for showing it to me! I wouldn't have dared to purchase it with so many articles within to show no surfaces.

    kiss
