Error opening file: An error occured while reading the file

I just purchased new content and installed it via DAZ Install Manager. Unfortunately while I can see the new purchase in DAZ Studio 4.9 Pro, whenever I try to open it I get the error, "Error opening file: An error occured while reading the file." That's it. No go.

I had the same baffling issue several months ago, and was eventually able to resolve it with help from this forum, however I've forgotten the solution, and I can't figure out any way to locate that previous discussion on this forum (is there a way to display your previoius posts?). Could someone please advise me on what I have to do to get my purchase working and I'll be on my way.

Fixed it. This time the problem apparently was that I was trying to open a material before opening the "actor."

Click on the cogwheel on the right side of the blue bar at the top of this page. Click on your name in the menu that drops down. Click on the cogwheel below the blue bar (NOT the one on the blue bar) and select the option you want. "Your Threads" shows every thread you started. "Your Posts" shows all your posts. "Your Inbox" shows your Private Messages (not the same as the Store Messages you can get at from your Account Page).

Just pruchased "Z fiery temper pose mega set". Installed ok, and I can see the poses in the product directory, but when I click on a file to open th pose, I get an error an error message "An error occurred while reading the file" . . . Please help, very annoying, I purchsed this product and not getting what I paid for.

Did you have the figure you wanted to pose loaded and selected?

Yes, but did you have the figure loaded into the scene and selected there - poses, and most other presets, are for modifying something that is already there and selected as a target.

Which versionof Daz Studio - Help>About Daz Studio? What are your system specifications? What do you mean by opening characters? Do you mean Daz Studio crashes? if so does it go straight to desktop or do you get crash report dialogue, and if you do get a report what does it show?
