Add Text (or image) to surface

MLIE doesn't seem to work for a surface that doesn't have an image attached already. Is there anyway to add text to a surface? I thought Casual made a script but I couldn't find it. It just needs to be static, not dynamic.

    Sure. Put the text on an image template for the item and apply the image using the Surface Tab.

    If no image will apply to the surface, then the .obj needs to be uvmapped.
