Where are the iray blood stained shaders?

Looking for blood stained shaders for iray.

Like, there's blood stains on a shirt. I have a dirt iray shader, but I can't figure how to turn the dirt patches into blood stains. lol

I would think this to be a hugely popular product(s).

I own quite a few that put blood on the people themselves, but nothing that puts the blood stains on the clothing.

I do have a few outfits with blood stains, but not a dedicated shader.

Searching the store led to zero results.

Weird.

This works fine if you convert the surface to Iray and adjust the settings a bit: https://www.daz3d.com/gore-dom-for-daz-studio

You might look at this one:  https://www.daz3d.com/horror-and-gore-iray-shaders

I used it in https://www.daz3d.com/gallery/#images/443591/ and https://www.daz3d.com/gallery/#images/443586/ on both of the outfits.  Those are also straight out of the box with no adjustments or fiddling, i'm quite sure better results can be had by playing around with the settings some.

Nice renders. I Have that and figured it'd cover the surface 100% and make the objects look like 'they were made of the material'.

Didn't realize it could do some areas on, some areas off.

That appears to be the answer. Thank you so very much.

Thanks for the link, wasn't aware of that product.

I didn’t know it would work with Iray. Interesting

It has ones that do full coverage, but it also has ones buried that look like spotty globes, those are the ones I used.

Yeah, I almost missed them when they released too.  Judging from the responses to a thread I made asking the same thing, apparently a lot of people did.

The one I posted?  It's got Iray right in the name

How do you convert a surface to iray?

there is a shader that you just click on to add to Iray but you will have some adjusting to do. I can't think of the name of the shader off hand though. Hopefully someone else remembers.

It's probably the Iray Uber Shader, it's under Shades > Iray > Uber > the icon with the daz logo (can't remember what the pack is called, and I'm already in bed or I'd go check, but it's the official one that comes with Studio)

Oooh! Okay I just saw that one, I've been trying to figure out what it does. Neat! Thanks

I don't know if this will work for your needs, but it looks like there's a new Blood and Dirt product in the store: https://www.daz3d.com/ultimate-blood-n-dirt-for-genesis-3-male-s

Actually, it is a LIE preset, so it can be used on any surface. When you use it out of the box, it can have some unwanted side effects due to displacement and the colouring is not very good.

The upper arm is "out of the box", the lower arm has adjustments for Iray.

    Here's what I did:

    • identified the LIE temp map (In the render temp folder)
    • applied the Temp map to translucency and transmitted colour (replacing the maps there)
    • in Displacement, reduced the minimum/maximum from .25/-.25 to the default .1/-.1

A problem is the seams, though. All is fine as long as you use the same map, like in the arm example, but if you have seams between arm and torso, it won't match any longer. That's a normal problem with textures, but I thought I'd mention it, anyways.

Diva, looks real good, but it looks like another- "only on the guy"

    We need something for clothing.

Addendum to my previous post - here is that same "running blood" shader applied to G8M shirt that comes with Iray native surface. The only adjustment was reducing the displacement max/minimum.

These look great BeeMKay.  To be sure I am correct, you are using

     https://www.daz3d.com/gore-dom-for-daz-studio

    and NOT https://www.daz3d.com/horror-and-gore-iray-shaders

    Correct?

  • BeeMKayBeeMKay Posts: 7,019

Yes, that is correct. This is the "old" gore-dom shader for 3Delight.
