Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree - Which one?

Which Christmas Tree is nicer and/or more realistic:

The new one by Polish: https://www.daz3d.com/christmas-tree

or the Victorian Christmas Tree by Merlin: https://www.daz3d.com/victorian-christmas-tree ?

or possibly the Yuletide Treasure Tree 2011: https://www.daz3d.com/yuletide-treasure-tree-2011

Does anybody have both and could possibly post side by side renders?

There is this one as well, if you want something really cheap

    https://www.daz3d.com/redhouse-christmas-carol-exp-1

However I used it recently, and it does not convert to Iray very well.

I like the polish one but I wish it came out weeks ago so I could have used it more. I realize that is the stores call not the pa’s but releasing a tree only a few days before the holiday limits it’s use and will cost sales

Thanks. I already have that one and was looking for something a little newer that might be a bit more photo-real. With Holday rewards on Polish's Christmas tree or this weeks 60% off the Victorian tree PC+ deal (with purchase of this weeks PC+ item such as Happy Holidays) either one comes out to be in the $6 to $7 dollar range.

I find the Merlin one most modern realistic artifical style tree and the other two more like the artificial trees from when I was little.

If you want a real looking pine tree as Christmas tree than sharecg.com has some in obj format that you can decorate. i used them last year in my Gallery for a Babe & Blue Ox render.

I feel the same. I needed a decent Iray tree a couple of weeks ago, it is a bit late now

If you want to start from scratch to decorate your own tree, there is Merlin's Evergreen Fir Trees. (I know, a fir is not a pine...) Predatron used to have a lot of trees, but they (and their other vegetation packs) seem to have all been removed from the store.

If you're on a tight budget, there are a couple of freebie trees that are decent:

    http://inlitestudio.com/3d/product/christmas-lounge/

I used them both (one inside the other) for the tree in this render:

However, it took quite a bit of work to get them to Iray ready (and I added all the emissives). To me, the new one by Polish looks AMAZING! And it has SIX different options that change the look of the tree (and they each look good, imo):

Played a bit with converting the Yuletide Treasure Tree 2011 to Iray some time ago. Didn't really finish it then so some things do probably not look as good as they could. Click for bigger version.

I think it really boils down to what kind of "look" you are going for.  All products you listed are all good and I have all of them, even  Moyra's new texture pack for the Victorian Christmas Tree, https://www.daz3d.com/happy-holidays. ; I like the look of the Christmas Tree by Polish.  I think that would go real well for an elaborate party/event kind of scene.

The tree by Polish looks very nice, but I am concerned if I need a super powered GPU to render it given that not one single promo render of it is even close to being finished. That is a real pet peeve of mine. The first promo render made me think something was wrong with my laptop...I double checked on a better screen to be sure. Otherwise, it looks fantastic. If anyone has it, maybe they could chime in on how long it takes to render (and what hardware they used.)

I noticed that as well, however I suspect the unfinished render look is more due to it being an indoor render, and the living room environment, than the tree itself. My guess is the PA does not have the greatest GPU (or maybe none at all). Indoor renders are known to take longer, although there are tricks to speed things up (Ghost lights, using HDR's etc). However no one wants to render an artificial Christmas tree outdoors!

I think those renders are filtered to look like that, although I think as you said they were unfinished before they were filtered.

I did buy the tree set and noticed the grainy promos. I do admit it gave me pause because I worried it may be too memory intensive. Haven’t tried the set yet. It’s  unlikely I will get to it before the holidays.
