G8 'plus' size model?

Are there any G8 'plus' sized models anyone would recommend or I may have missed?

Is it better to take a normal character and just use sliders? Or should I wait for the Bethany 8?

If not G8 who's your fave G3 'plus' girl?

There's a recent G8 female figure that fits the description. https://www.daz3d.com/vyk-jordynne-for-genesis-8-female

Personally, I just used the free G3-to-G8 morph transfer to use Bethany for Genesis 8. You'll also need her UV map (a separate product by Redz) if you're planning on using Bethany and friends' skin texture.

  • I would say that sliders are your best bet. Go through Zev0's catalogue, https://www.daz3d.com/zev0 . I use a combination of, https://www.daz3d.com/shape-shift-for-genesis-8-female-s , https://www.daz3d.com/glute-control-for-genesis-8-female-s ,https://www.daz3d.com/breast-control-genesis-8-female-s , and daz sliders. I also use Zev0's aging morphs for G3 but I havent bought the G8 version yet.

There's Jordynne as mentioned, however she is a dialed character not a custom sculpted one. YMMV on whether that's worth it over dialing your own.

There's also Alice. I don't have her but she seems cute.

Agree that transferring Bethany's morphs gets you one of the best plus size characters there ever was.

Yeah, still hoping for Bethany 8 but, as agent unawares points out, there is DE Alice who makes a great starting place.

The attachment below uses https://www.daz3d.com/benita-for-victoria-8 texture on Alice with some tweaks from the Daz Head ,Body and base G8F morph packs and a touch of Monique 8..

Another morph set that looks like it could be handy for building more normal average Ntn American/Australasian/Brit Isle characters (and probably much of the rest of the world, don't know, haven't been to the rest of the world) is https://www.daz3d.com/ej-body-shape-and-detail-morphs-for-genesis-8-female-s.

Edit: I smacked myself for the implication the not being built like Bethany/Alice is abnormal. Apoogies to anyone with a different shape and who cares what others think/say on the subject.

Blythe also has an additional slide morph that makes her shorter and larger (was also just on sale).

  • AliveSheCried at Renderosity has a set of 12 preset characters. You'll have to use your own textures. But they are just what you are asking for.

I do not have a fav "plus" girl in my runtime. I installed a fitness coach and a nutritionist when I installed DS just to keep that from happening. I think I trained them too well though as every time I load default G8 they are on her case till I hit the preferred sliders. wink

I would go with AliveSheCried at Renderosity also since every time I see her store there are quite a few "plus" size figure products

If you make the model too plus sized it is a problem that in some poses they look unnatural because the shape is not shifting like fat would in that pose. The DAZ G8M/G8F have head/body morphs in the DAZ Store that let yet make plus sized and very skinny people too.

This is what concerns me and why Bethany 7 may just have to do until a Bethany 8 or equivalent comes out.

I bought Bethany and for some reason I just don’t use the character. I’m also don’t use George so I probably will pass on plus sized figures. Nothing against them just for some reason I haven’t used the ones I own.

It's not particularly something I would use for my own work, but the client is a plus sized designer looking for a model for concept proofing collections.

VYK Bessie is lovely but she's G3.

For runway scenes and such I think even really big models work but I think you want dForce clothing & hair.

Indeed..  the shrink wrapping effect on standard BMI models
are exacerbated on overweight characters  so Dforce
is a good solution  for this long standing issue.

I never did do a Big Beautiful Genesis 3, but the one for Genesis 2's still doing pretty well.  Maybe it's time to look at putting in the work on G8.

That would be cool - I'd definitely get it!

Though, sadly, given some of the comments here, I'm not sure it would be a good seller.
