Who's the Best Avatar Creator?

Obviously we sell a lot of characters here at Daz, but when things really get exciting is when you mix characters or morphs to create your own unique vision. A lot of people even take a little different spin on that and merge elements of the world into their avatars by importing models and textures with products like FaceGen or Headshop.
So, who is your "Avatar", and what is their backstory? This doesn't need to be your forum avatar, but any character you use in a recurring role in your work.
We'll share some of the top one's to the Daz 3D Facebook page as well.
So, you see the characters we produce every day. Let's see yours :)

umm...mine is my logo...and the story is I am a marketing pig, and wanna stick my logo in everyones face so they will never forget it :P
but I guess I am not your target market for that questions :)
ROFL
Define "back story" cause I dont make up fake pasts for any of them.
Mine is a $3 commisioned pixel art drawing of the character that I've rendered in both Poser and Studio for about 15 years.
Haha! Damn good back story though.
Mine is Creepy the Clown in homage to the legendary Bryce artist (and forensic psychologist) Don Tatro. Sadly since his passing in 2004 all of his artwork sites have long disappeared but you can still view his work over at his renderosity gallery which is still around - https://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/?user_id=1883 and this memorial again at renderosity - https://www.renderosity.com/farewell-to-don-tatro-cms-6813 He worked a lot with poser and bryce back in the early days and Creepy frequently made cameo appearances in his renders. His work as well as others is what drew me to this hobby.
He made Creepy available for free to the public and I was able to get my hands on it. I'm not even sure if that would still be available in this day and age sadly.
Mine is of Christine, from the book and film of the same name; I modelled, textures and rendered in Blender. I like making cars, but they are time-consuming. It is the one I am most pleased with, despite disliking that style of car. :) I chose the car because it looked interesting to model.
<--- I use a photo, but had to get it photo-shopped to reduce the level of awesomeness
<=== That is actually my face. Lots of people would presume I was male (although I didn't mind) a picture helped clearing things up.
@nicstt I saw that movie when I was younger and I thought it was quite awesome.
Mine are Chinese Characters that mean "Eternal Student".
I don't use avatars as an id of my personality so no backstory although one could guess I watched and liked the "I Dream of Jeanie" show and the opening credits to it. I've used as avatars renders I've made of Bewitched, a Rockefeller painting, and made up renders too. I sometimes switch to an attempt to make an avatar of my actual person. I am trying to make a new avatar now in fact of my person but not in a portrait style since I've been having trouble making Mother Goose renders due to the size of the scenes.

I sell my art at Comic-Con conventions and someone requested a CatWoman character. I created this with V4 and a lot of Photoshop work and it is still my favorite I think. I blew this up huge and several others to print on wrapped canvas and was shown in LA art galleries. It is also my phone wallpaper LOL. I also like my Alice in Wonderland (I think that was my first Genesis 2) also brought into Photoshop and on wrapped canvas!
Your stuff is great! I'm kinda hoping that Catwoman robs me. Va va voom!
Mine is a character I created in Oblivion, a long time ago. She was wearing a Robin Hood like outfit from a mod, and used a race/species from another mod, I don't remember the details exactly. She wasn't primarily meant for "play"-more of an experiment to visualize a character I was writing: a sort of time travelling angel who had come to a post-apocalyptic earth to fight the forces of evil and meet her One True Love. Never finished the story, but the interest in "pre-viz" work on characters to help with my poor descriptive skills led to me hearing about Daz Studio and downloading it. (I might have seen a DS/Poser reference on one of the Elder Scrolls forums I lurked at).
I'll play along. My handle is grinch not because I'm a curmudgeonly meanie but rather because it was my favorite Christmas special. And for a reason: When I was a kid the specials mostly had lines like "we'll have to cancel Christmas if Santa's sick!" and the like. But the grinch learns that Chrismas isn't about presents and decorations, there's no canceling or stealing it. And when he finally understands the spirt of Christmas, he evolves into a better ... um, man? Anyway I liked that message and the character's arc so I've run with it.
The avatar itself is just a freebie grinch I found somehwere and posed for the heck of it. I sort of approximated his pose on the original book, but not the camera angle. That's all there is to it!
Where's the render??
My Avatar is Taiduo07-12, main character in my ongoing webcomic which you can find when you click on the banner. She lives in a postapocalyptic dystopian society.
I made her from a variety of characters with lots of morph-dialing and a selfmade skin using skinbuilder. obviously she's meant as an eyecatcher. My original idea was to make her blink as she does on my dA avatar but only Chohole gets to have a moving avatar ;)
This doesn't need to be limited to your Forum Avatar, but any character you use in a recurring role in your work or creations. Who's your favorite and why?
@DAZ_Steve you just 404 posts...is that an error? LOL
Not sure I understand. BTW, I love the avatar in your Signature line... Those eyes and freckles just grab me!
mine is an overdialled V4 made to look like Granny Weatherwax because my previous avatar was a sweet little welsh girl which I thought it was too cute for a Moderator. I started off with just the figure, but then someone said she needed a handbag. I couldn't work out the hadnbag, so I gave her a club, and DAZ_Ann animated it for me.
So I went from this
to this
shows you how being a mod can age a person
My avatar is from an unfinished acrylic painting I never finished. It is a character of mine.
Then it works the way it was intended :D Thanks!
under your avatar there is the number of posts you posted on this foruim, that number was just on 404 which is a bit funny with all the 404 errors we had some weeks ago.
