  • Well, I don't mind skin tight clothing ALL the time... I don't mind the Fr.... Brute wearing tight jeans and a tighter shirt for the Rival Outfit for instance smiley . But yeah bummer about the lumberjack.

Still, when this was released last night, I was almost going to comment on the lack of skimpwear in the bundle. Hey, fair is fair right?

Hubba, hubba! Hellooooooo hottie! Yeah, it's gonna be an expensive day at DAZneyland for me! I might not be able to leave my computer. I'll be staring at him all day long.

LMAO @divamakeup ! And thank you for those renders. Mmmmmmmm

I can relate! An alpha male! This is the exact type of G8 figure I was wishing for.. whoohoo thank you DAZ....I had to get the CC Shave This Body Hair to go along. The renders are great!!  Going to wait for the weekend to download.  Where's the relaxed fit levi's? haha.. although some combination of tight/relaxed cowboy wranglers would look great.  Would love to do some type of bar/saloon, or night out scene with realistic clothing..

"Why don't you sit down over here?"

Man, I was not expecting another Pro Bundle this month.  Probably broke my budget for the rest of the Sale with that one...  FWSA Marcus plus 25% Brute plus Altern8 Darius No Maps plus drop the Dual Lobe Specular Weight.

  • bought Brut Pro, HD add on, Giant HD and Rampage. But I have a question for those didn't buy Ramage. In smarty in Brute's menu I can see colour options the same as Rampage offers green red blue purple were these skins already offered as part of Brute or is Rampage sharin

  • There should be blue, red, green, and gray with Brute, but Rampage should have different colors (it may have a red, for instance, but looks like it should be different from the Brute red). I don't have Rampage to compare file names though, and don't use smart content so not sure if that might be causing any confusion with file names.

thanks for that was thinking would have had to return rampage but looks like they are different enough after test render. The alt. colours for Brute are like if you just changed colour in the colour wheel just basic one colouring no tonal difference whereas Rampage has different colour tones in the greens, reds extra. Also see Rampage is a lot smaller than Brute. image

I am disappointed the buttons are on the wrong size. For some, that may be nitpicking, but when you try to render realistic things, details like this can matter.

@Phoenix 1966: No nitpicking... that's one of my main reasons for not buying some male clothes. There's tons of shirts and jackets in the shop that have this problem.

The button thing is because men would button their own clothing and well-to-do women had maids. So men have theirs to give access to their dominant hand. It’s a pretty obvious error for a contemporary outfit.

@Serene Night: I found some explanation that goes like this: Buttons came up in medieval times, when men still carried blades around with them. So to have easy access to the sword, which usually was carried on the left hip, when wearing a long coat - which partially covered the sword - the buttons had to be on the right side. This allowed the hand to slip under the coat unhindered to draw the sword.
People tend to forget - or do not know - that many of the clothing standards we still follow come from a long time ago. Just check the different ways men and women take off a T-shirt or pullover. Hint: it has to do with wearing a chainmail shirt...

It seems to me only women know or even notice whether or not a shirt has the buttons on the proper side for a man or woman.

@nonesuch000: I see it the other way around - women seem to not know or care about the traditional positioning of the buttons on "male" shirts. Probably because females often wear both, blouses and "male" shirts, while few males end up wearing blouses or shirts made for women.
Or the PAs are just lazy and use the same basic blueprint for all the male/female clothes they make devil

Looks really cool character & the skin is sort of realistically shimmery, it looks very artistic.

I think a pa mentioned one time that you could reverse the shirt to correct the problem with the buttons and save the flipped version. But can’t recall who or how. So maybe I’m misremembering

I think the 'how' involves changing the scaling from +100% to -100% in the appropriate direction. However, it appears many clothing items do not have separate x, y and z scaling controls so I do not know what to do in that instance.

  • I love that guy ... after a very long time a stunning male character.

Customs established in ancient times but Serene is right, it still holds true even in this day and age. :)

  • The price of the bonus products is much higher today than yesterday, so the sale is not that interesting anymore...

What I learned from the Edward Pro sale earlier this year: if you see a major character launched that you want, grab it the first day when the deals are the best. You never know when they are going to change.

  • I was hesitating because I spent a lot these past months. Now, I will have a good reason not to buy it and save money. Except that I lost a lot of time choosing the products I put in my cart and, at the end, I would probably have bought it... Next time, if I hesitate I won't do that...

  • Here is something I was playing around with before I left for work today.  Its Brute 8 with about 20% of a Kimo 7 morph I transferred into G8 along with about 20% of the HD morph and some vasularity added in.  Its not "Done " yet but its looking interesting so far.

Similar thing happened to me - I filled a cart yesterday afternoon, went for dinner, got sidetracked with some RL stuff and never got back online till today. My "freebies" now cost about $30.
So I've rethought the cart and have filled it again - actually it's now 80 cents cheaper than yesterday, but that's because I picked a few things yesterday that took me just over the $30 per section whereas now they all come in under. But today's are not from my "would sort of like it" list but only from a "suppose I might use it" list (absolutely nothing on offer was on my actual wishlist) and I'm still trying to decide whether I want the Brute enough to actually pull that trigger.

Thanks. The character is using Brute 8's skin and is 100% Brute HD Morph, 80% Brute 8, 100% Ollie and 30% The Giant. I used Ollie's Nose Small ;).

Hmm definately not what i was expecting but its a male. Still i think (but i could be wrong) he does more as a genepool addition then stand alone. Curious to see what people come up with here.

    I fully agree

It is not the Brute 8 here but Mr Rubbleman changed just a little to look like the Thing from Marvel Comics, the character that made me curious and interested enough to start buying comics. I found an empty slurpee cup with the Thing's picture on the sidewalk outside of a 7-11 when I was a boy and was fascinated! 4 years later I had a heavy box of about 1000 comics I had wondered the streets of Jacksonville Florida for looking for empty pop bottles to return for deposit refunds to fund my comic book buying. laugh

yeah .. i had a lot of stuff in my cart. went to check out today and was shocked SHOCKED !! .... so the value went from nearly 500 to 300 ... cut the quantity from 18 to 11. this then resulted in deleting one item from the new Brute add on products to cut the price. the price had increased by $100 ... so 46 to 146 ... deal breaker.
