Cleansing the Warrior
He walked into the clean water slowly, taking his time as he knew there were no need to rush. A weary warrior recently returned from battle, his soul heavy with the lives that had fallen by his sword. He was lucky that this temple were so close to the village he had found rest in a few days ago, thankfully the priestess were also willing to perform a cleansing ceremony upon him.
His golden eyes flickered briefly to the priestess as she started to chant, he than let his gaze fall on the pillows near the bath and as the cleansing mist soothed his disturbed soul and tired body, his eyes grew distant as his mind found itself remembering another place long gone, a village where he had been born a lifetime ago.
For the render contest

MW
Holy criminies! How on earth did I manage to miss this thread for three days? I must live in a cave or something.
Chohole-Bryce renders, absolutely beautiful. Orestes knocked it out of the park with Gardens of Poseidon. You made them look stunning.
Storypilot (post 9)- that is such a powerful image. Very moody and evocative.
(post 32)-Wow! Widescreen landscape was the way to go with that one. Excellent job on both.
Scorpio64dragon (post 16)-Really? Seriously? How do you do it? Can I buy prints to hang on my wall? Top notch as always my friend. Thanks for always making my stuff look so wonderful.
Vanguard (post 17) -the Cris outfit is so cool, and you have shown it in a very hot light. Great tension with the tilted camera angle.
SassyWench (post 18)-You are really telling a story with that one. I wonder what those two are going to get up to. Great job.
MelanieL-(posts 19-21) - a trio of beauties. That poor sap in the boat doesn't stand a chance. Great use of the mermaid tail. I'm glad you are enjoying it.
Satira Capriccio (post 24)-Lovely. Just lovely. I always enjoy the hazy, dreamlike quality of your renders.
hawkonthewing (post 26) good use of perspective. I wonder what waits for those adventurers when they reach the dungeon.
luannemarie (post 27-28)-I'm enchanted by your mermaid, and the blues and pinks are so captivating. All the bubbles really sell the images. Nice job.
TheWheelMan (post 31)-Scary! Remind me not to get on her bad side. I really enjoy the stylized approach.
Carola O (post 33) - I enjoy the stories you always include with your pictures. Awesome use of shaders, and great effects. Nice work.
temporal.ranger (post 34 )-Squee! Charming picture.
Spit (post 35) - totally cute!
Tarina Kivi (post 37) -the tail looks fabulous and you made great use of point of view. We don't often see the water surface from underneath, so that was a nice touch. Add some fish? Maybe zoom in to the figure a bit more? You'll get there. It is good how it is already.
Zawarkal (post 38) - Squee! Just keeps getting cuter and cuter. Great sparkles.
Thanks for the shout outs everyone. Render threads like this one are such a treat for all of us.
I have to shout, "Squee!" now and go buy myself a tiny dragon.
Beloved thank you – that is a DS render - me and Poser do not get on.
Magikweaver thank you, please do I'm flattered you like them that much.
DestinyGarden thankyou but its not difficult making your stuff look good.
Some very inspiring renders in this thread, its always good to see what people can do with stuff.
Thank you Belovedalia and DestinysGarden for the kind comments.
I echo what scorpio64dragon said, a lot of inspiring work in the thread here. I enjoy checking back to see more.
SRSLY? Okay what do you postwork in??? LOL because no matter how much time i take with volumetrics and camera and lighting i cannot get results like that straight render! WOW!
.
.
I picked up Pirates - Black Pearl from Pretty3D last night. I love Pretty3D products!
Did this one as a quick test of the set.
And yet another one for the contest.
Used: Mermaid for genesis 2 female and Camera magic.
Mermaid of the temple.
.
I'm loving the images that have been submitted so far. Just remember that tonight is the last night to submit renders for week 1's contest. I think we said tomorrow morning at 8 AM DAZ Time was the cut off for week 1. Keep up the great work. We'll announce the winners for week 1 tomorrow.
Thanks for the comments, belovedalia and DestinysGarden.
There are some lovely images in this thread, it'll be interesting to which are the winners and even more interesting to see what else everyone comes up with in the coming weeks (when who knows what the playthings might be?)
Jared, could you clarify something for me.. or rather, let me know if I have missunderstood it or not :)
If the week counts from friday to friday as you mentioned in the post regarding the contest. Than am I correct in guessing that the Touched Eyes that came september 8 (sunday) counts for week 2? ( *holding thumbs she is correct in her guesswork* )
Mr Jones, you have something that belongs to me.
Featuring A Dungeon Entrance
Just cos I am enjoying playing with these products.
Poseidon admiring part of his garden. Two pure Bryce renders combined, layered in photoshop and blended.
thank you belovedalia and DestinysGarden for your comments. It's always interesting to see artwork through another's eyes.
Beloved I postwork in Photoshop 7.
Tarina Kivi thank you, the texture is the Orca maid one I did have to alter it a bit in photoshop as its more blue than black.
Mertail and DestinyGardens lights.
These are all so imaginative and gorgeous, I'm enjoying seeing what everyone has done. You've done the PAs proud with the underwater themes and everything else here.
Very hard to single anyone out amongst all this talent, but I'm still smiling after seeing 'He Followed Me Home...' by temporal.ranger (Squee)... Adorable, just love the composition and especially that expression.
.
Whaaaat, renders and stuff??? Prizes??? Well in that case, I'll inflict some of my renders on you, hehehe
Here's a couple I did with Stonemason's Desert Outpost, which I believe was the first new item of the Artist Festival. Both were rendered in DAZ Studio using the LDP-R.
For the contest, these are 'Unwelcome Guests' (Star Wars themed) and the other is 'Anybody Home?'
