Amazon pay charged me twice

not sure where to put this,  it I want to se if anyone else had the problem.  I used amazon pay twice for two orders at Daz.  One a PC item (1.99) and the other was an order of 3 items (8.56). I made sure I had enough for both purchases but now my account is in the negative.  I submitted a support ticket about two days ago with no response.

why I am posting is to see why is it taking over two days to see my ticket?  And also is anyone else having this issue? I am unable to purchase anything until this is resolved.

I didn't know Amazon had anything to do with DAZ?! Wouldn't you want to ask Amazon Pay for support?!

Amazon pay is now a form of payment. There was an announcement last week. You can find the option at checkoutl

  • Two days isn't that long, especially if they need to cross check records and with the PC sale going on. Has you ticket been confirmed with the automatic reply?

I looked at your account and I can see an "Authorization" and a "Billed" charge for the amount, but not a double charge.

If you can PM me the ID's of the orders I am happy to look at them, but I looked through our recent orders on Amazon and I have not seen any double-charges.

Guess nothing will be resolved until later.  I will start getting ready for bed.

No, often when you buy at Amazon it will look like you are being charged twice but one is a 'hold' and the 2nd is the actual charged amount that will be credited issued and the 'pending payment amount advice' will get dropped. Whenever I buy something at Amazon.com using my bank VISA debit card the charge will show up in my bank account twice for 2 - 5 days but eventually the 'hold pending charge amount' will be dropped when the actual money charged is credited by the bank to amazon.

I see what is going on now.  it is a bizare thing happening.  I have a preauthorization hold at the same time as I have already been charged for it so it appears I got double charged which causes the bank to go into negative.  At least I use paypal and they do not have over draft fees.

I tried Amazon pay again and it charged me and did a preauthorization hold at the same time.   Is this happening to others?

How long do pre authorization charges hold?

So their preauthorization hold made your account go negative? Dang, you can't catch a break! Are you using a bank or credit union? CUs are a little more relaxed with the fees, plus their fees are lower.

It is PayPal so I am not sure.  All I know is I have no overdraft fees.
