Methods and Materials for Making GHOSTS ?

in The Commons
In either 3Delight or iRay. I'd like to be able to make figures into ghosts with different transparency and glowing effects. I've seen the couple of products available in the store.
Thanks!

I was going to try this last night, but crashed instead... Try two renders of the same scene, or with the will-be-ghost and one with out. Put both renders into your photoediting software of choice with the ghost image on top. Then reduce the opacity of that layer to 50% or whatever looks good. You could also probably select just the figure in the ghost render image and try a post effect to make it fuzzy, glowing, or desaturated.
pwGhost will work for 3Delight, assuming you want the classic double-exposure ghost where you see only the nearest surface. If you want to be able to see all surfaces, as for a real semi-transparent object, then opacity settings will work.
In yesterday's sale I bought the pwEffects as well as the pwGhost. The iray ghost shader looks good, except it doesnèt glow.
