Nvidia Optix Denoiser in Blender
Hello Everyone,
If you're waiting for the new AI denoiser feature in the Public Beta to be implemented, or even if you want more control over the denoiser, I just found out that an industrious souls have patched the Nvidia Optix Denoiser into Blender.

The best part is it can take raw HDR / EXR files (or even PNGs and JPEGS, although HDR / EXR works best) and do the same for your render once you easily set up the nodes. Personally, I use it to denoise the entire render and then utilize Photoshop to blend the layers to keep detail where needed.
Here's an example of the node setup I use. I know barely anything about Blender, but I was able to set this up pretty easily. Hope this helps someone!

So, does this work with a .EXR Beauty Pass too?
Yep! Sorry, that's what I meant by HDR. I've edited my original post to reflect!
There's a denoiser available in the compositor iirc.
Awesome. Love tips like this! Thanks!
My own best one would be to go to preferences -> interface and set your display optimization to best. Works wonders for the viewport because DAZ Studio has it set the opposite by default.
For Blender? Yep. But this one uses the same Optix A.I. tech which DAZ has in the public beta.
Only (in my opinion) this is better because you can keep the noisy image and blend the two.
Right now the denoiser in Beta can be a little overzealous on mostly converged images.
REALLY can not wait for this to smoothly integrated into Daz.

Wow very cool! I just installed beta 2.80 blender and got this setup to test. I am able to get the image to denoise (Blender Beta 2.80 and using image editor) but have no clue how to export the image back out as a .tif/.jpg etc. Tried to save, save as etc but no luck. Only option I see is to save as a .blend file. I have no experience in Blender and installed it just to test this plugin. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
***UPDATE***
Nevermind I found it (shift+s in beta 2.80 and every other version for all I know) if anyone besides me hasn't a clue lol.

I think so too. I only use the denoiser for animations. Too much detail is lost on still renders.
