I was looking at the "What's Included and Features" for Skyewolf's "Comical Canine Poses for Daz Dog(s) 8" [ https://www.daz3d.com/comical-canine-poses-for-daz-dogs-8 ] and noticed that it stated that it had poses for Wolf Dog 8, Husky Dog 8, and German Shepherd Dog 8. There also appears to be a sample of one of them in the in the images for the product.   I can only find the Daz Dog 8 Base, Dachshund, French Bulldog, Great Dane & Labrador breeds mentioned for sale. Is there any more info on these other breeds for DAZ Dog 8?

They haven't been released yet.  I've been waiting not-so-patiently for them :)

No idea if they've been created yet, although it does look like at least one of them (German Shepherd?  Wolf Dog?) has been worked on going by the promo you posted.

Maybe they're still sussing out the fur/hair system OR they're saving them for a big blowout THIS month!

  • I'm holding out for a Dog 8 version of the Cwn Annwn, with 3Delight textures ;-)  Yeah, I know, I'm dreaming...

You can get close to a German Shephard using the Warg scaled down to normal dog size, with a bit of tweaking to the ears and muzzle, and the default body texture for the dog.

Thanks zombietaggerung and the wolf can be fairly close, as well, doing the same things but with my Warg texture.

And the long rumored but never before seen Husky and German Shepherd have, shockingly, made an appearance!

I would have definitely bought a poodle and a chihuahua yes

I am on the fence about these as nice but I have the old wolves, huskies and shepherds and don't render them often as is

    Got the wolf, thoughts so far;

Only one coat colour? Could have gotten more but not a huge loss.

New UV to adapt? Not as good. I know why it is there, I just prefer if everything most the same shape used the save UV.

No 'naked' morph. There IS a naked morph, yes!

I need to test out the new dforce hair thing to see how it shakes out. But it IS a full body one so that is good.

I don't know why I was expecting "toy breeds" when I saw the email heading. These three have been mentioned for a while now. They're in my cart, because I've already picked up all the other DAZ O breeds, and want to show my support for normal-looking dogs (like these).
  • Here is a comparison of the 'naked' morphs to the default Daz Dog 8.

is there a way to convert the dforce fur to mesh?

With the discounts the three total $29.52 in my cart. I'm sure people will be snapping them up but too rich for me. Into the wishlist and fingers crossed on future sales.

Kinda disappointing. Shapes of the 3 different animals are way too similar, only the color is different. Not worth 3 purchases for 3 different color variants. Lazy work by Das Originals.

Yeh, a bit pricey.  The base price for an individual breed has significantly inreased (from $19.95 to $26.95). So, even with discounts the bottom line price is fairly high. And this is further compunded by the fact that many of PC for a Day items were only for a day and bought all we wanted yesterday. Now we have nothing left to trigger the extra 20% discount.

So, as much as I would like to support the new breeds, I may pass on them.

Benji's adorable. It would be neat to see a full grown Dogue de Bordeaux too.

A little less than $10 for a dog breed with dhair sounds like a great price to me, and with loyalty and PC+ you can get it even lower.

    Snatched it up fast!

I’m about to buy six new dog breeds for exactly $9 each, plus MilDog and MilPuppy for free, which I probably never would have paid for.

What’s that? I’ve only ever rendered a dog once? I don’t see what that has to do with anything.

Finally, the Husky and the Shepard. The only two breeds I was actually interested in when Dog 8 was first released.

Now, when will we finally get Cat 8?

I have Daz Dog 8 so I get the purple banner but no other discounts or coupons apply on my end so I don't see a way to knock it down from $29.52. So whatever secret shopper coup you've pulled off to lower that....?

Mwokee: The PC+ for a day sale. Buy 2 of them and it reduces the basket further.

Oh hey. If your machine can tolerate it, I highly recommend bumping up the line tessellation of the fur from 1 to 3. (This will triple the effective count of the fur, so... be careful. ;)

and if you buy the 2 $2.20 items, it goes down to 7.40 each. The total is $28.36 so you save another 10% or so. And as stated, buy a GC 1st and save another 20%. The total for the 3 dog breeds and if you just buy 2 $2.20 items will be $22.68 . 22.68-3.52(the 2 $2.20 items subtracted out ...  $6.39 for each dog breed.

When Dog 8 first came out last June it only cost me $6.85 and each breed cost $5.48. So, at $9+ the new ones are nearly double the price I paid for the original ones.  And as previously stated many of us already bought all the PC for a Day items we wanted yesterday because we believed they were only for that day. So, there is nothing left to get the extra 20% discount.

the husky not too husky looking ... but mabe it  depends on what breed it is. Usually the tail curls as well. A siberian has a huge fluffy tail.
