From the title alone, one could confuse the request as one where a dog or maybe a lemur is sitting in front of the computer clicking the mouse with their paws.wink

    Sincerely,

    Bill

I have a cat that tries to click the mouse because she has learned that the human does things with the mouse to get cat videos on the screen.

I do have to say animal animation would be a heck of a challenge . But when it comes to animal motions  in DAZ Studio I pretty much stick to toon animals for animation. only because creating  photorealistic animal animation in daz studio is very time consuming to be cost effective on a individual project and even then I would not promise  the motions would be very realistic..  unless I had "kinect" or some other way to capture real animal motions.  for me to  just to hand keyframe a mill-cat walking a 30 keyframe cycle takes me 2-4 days to make it look right there is lots of bones that require movements.

you can see what I mean in this animation I did

Indeed quadripeds are tough even in more advanced programs
    programs like Iclone.
Without mocap and  I wont even attempt quadripeds.blush

With "Toon Animals"  you have a lot more poetic license. because they are toons laugh& you can humanize them making them easier bond with the viewer

these are just a few of my toon animals animations  smiley

I would love to use toons but its not possible for this project,

I will be paying for the work, but it needs to be as real as possible.

Mocap right now is not possible hench why I am asking for someone that is really good at animations.

I work with daz studio for animation as a independent animator alot. Ive been doing it a long time.  &  I'll be honest even though i feel I'm pretty good at animating with daz studio. photorealistic animals in animation would be beyond my expertise. and I feel my work would not fore fill your requirements satisfactory.   it was worth a try , I'm sorry I couldn't help .sad

Anymatter KA06059 made the best Millenium cat motions I ever found and they work with some adjustments on most four legged critters, just renaming some bones in files often all thats needed, he used to be at Renderosity, then YurDigital, I got his motions years before free  but made a donation, I recall because he tossed in his gorilla motions afterwards, I think he might be at Hivewire3d now.

The lack of an IK/foot contact solver in Daz studio (ATM)wink
is exacerbated with qaudripeds, particulary with gracefully moving
    animals like felines etc.

With  biped humanoids  one can "cheat" by framing  most of one's shots above the knees.
however that is not really a realistic option with four legged animals due to how they are typically
    framed in films.

@Raveheart  best wishes for your project, I hope you find a solution.

I'm just imagining gluing the pingpong references to a cat's joints for some motion capture sessions--now THAT would be entertainment! devil

But for Ravenheart's project, probably the easiest thing would be to seek out stock footage of whatever critters you're wanting to do from something like nature films and try to manually duplicate the poses at a number of keyframes as they're walking/running/fighting/etc and let the tweening function fill in the rest. Of course, you may need to tweek and add keyframes and poses as you progress, but you should be pretty close to realistic motion after five or six itinerations.
