This is weird. I cannot figure out why there is a black coat around this figure.

Here is the figure not in an IRAY render

Here is the render in Iray

Here is the figure with the suit invisible and the torso visible in IRay render

In IRay render with the suit visible and the figure invisible...

Looks like something off with the surface setting for the torso map.

Perhaps a screen capture of the surfaces setting for the torso might help narrow down what might be the issue.

What you could do, is copy the Legs surface in the Surfaces Tab and paste it into the Torso slot of the surface tab and then manually change the Legs texture maps to the Torso texture maps and see if that gets rid of the issue.

I did try that trick right off, believe it or not as the black spot covers the torso area exactly. It did not work.

Also, wouldn't also making the figure invisible and leaving the bodysuit visible solve that nproblem? For some reason as the pics above show, the figure is invisible in one but the boidysuit is turned on BUT, we get the same problem. Weird. I even made the opacity of the torse o% and it still shows.

I wonder if it is just a glitch.

The normals might be pointing backwards.

Here is where I asked a while back & Richard Haselstine answered.

Did you add a geoshell to the suit and/or the figure, if that is present and wrongly configured, it could cause the issue you are seeing.
