Can the skirt be lengthened? That way she doesn't look so much like a stripper.

Given that it's called "Sexy Stewardess Outfit", I suspect that much of the point is that she does look like a stripper.

In any case, while the listed features include several opportunities for her to pull her skirt up or unbutton, it does not mention any for covering up.

    1. It is a one piece dress, no separate skirt.

    2. There is no morph to change length in either direction.

    Ciao

Simply using a longer set of stocking or tights might help, given the less than practical look of many outfits in this sector (especially in latter half of the last century). You could also use a dform, or hide the skirt (Surfaces pane if it has its own surface, or use the Geometry Editor) and apply a longer skirt.

  • More and more, when i browse through items of "clothing" i see these kind of things. More and more, it drives me away from buying things. I know sex sells, but this is turning into a fetish thing. Armor pieces, 3 triangles and a shoelace. Dresses, well, almost dresses. I am sorry, but why does clothing have to be like this ?? Everything is starting to look like eachother, even the characters. Same face, same pouty lips, same everything, same seductive pose, same plastic look. Where is the imagination ?? Poser and Daz are so much more, then this. Sorry for the rant.

I don't care if there is a lot of sexy stuff in the store, since I do not have to buy everything in the store, but it is a shame when the sexy version of is the only one available. I am in need of an airline stewardess uniform right now (and the one I want is not for a hooker), but the only other ones available are this: https://www.daz3d.com/i13-stewardess-outfit-for-the-genesis-3-female-s, which is also not very realistic, the complelely ridiculous this: https://www.daz3d.com/sexy-stewardess-for-genesis-2-female-s and the not much better this: https://www.daz3d.com/flight-crew-only-for-day-in-the-office-set-i (which is for V3). The only other one I have is a very old Poser World one for V4, which whilst a lot more modest, is pretty dated, being modelled on the type worn back in the 50s.

Also looking a bit dated but at least for G2F (&M) are the Flight Attendants Outfits at Wilmap's

If you want a less sexy Stewardess outfit, then all you'd need from a set like this would be the hat, the scarf, and, if it's included as a seperate prop, maybe a flight pin (https://www.daz3d.com/flight-crew-only-for-day-in-the-office-set-i has one) . Combine with about any contemporary blazer/kneelength skirt or blazer/pantsuit outfit, and match the textures.

Though, for short skirts and dresses, you can always check whether there's at least a shorten morph. Sometimes, unlocking the parameters and setting such a morph negative works. No idea how to make your own morphs, otherwise I'd advise that. Though I know it is possible to create morphs for personal use. (they won't be distributable though, afaik, only the original creator can do that)

  • I think morphing this to be 'family friendly' isn't feasible.  You might lengthen it to cover the stocking tops, but to knee length would be stretching the geometry too far.  (The buttons are already getting out of shape in the promo!)  I would hide/delete the 'skirt' below the waist and give her a pair of trousers.  The bottom edge may not look great.  Then you have only got to somehow cover that cleavage.

I haven't seen a flight attendant wearing a cap like that for 20+ years.  Is that what they wear in first class now?

If you google flight attendant, you will find all kinds of uniforms, some with hats, some without, depends on the carrier.

Personally i'd fly more if they looked like this image, LOL

Agreed. I mean, it's hard to argue with what sells, but -- as a regular straight guy -- sometimes looking at the store becomes embarassing. Now, I like sexy outfits as much as the next person. But there needs to be a bit more balance, IMO.

You can't really argue with the 'Silent' Majority who's doing all the buying...

It actually looks a lot like the nineties stewardess/flight attendant uniforms that some US carriers had, albeit with a shorter skirt and more stylized; United and Continental come to mind. I bought it and plan to dress my model in a longer skirt underneath the one piece dress. A shirt will handle some of the obvious visible cleavage issues and voila, she'll look far more professional and normal.

I agree about the skimpwear becoming far too prevalent. I pretty much refuse to buy any unless there's a part that I can use for a more everyday look, or it can be modded or added to with other garments to look more normal. Having said this, has anyone seen what young ladies wear these days? I work at a public school and its... Embarassing. We've had several show up looking like strippers, and I'm not exaggerating.  Last week, one showed up wearing high heels, nearly sheer leggings and a tube top. If we try to dress code them, we're told that the school is sexist against female students, blah blah blah, so we don't. Believe me, male teachers and staff members do not dress code female students because they'll be accused of sexual harassment for checking them out, or else how would they have known that the female in question was violating the dress code? A number of years ago, one of our male teachers was fired on those grounds. The point I'm making is that skimpwear is migrating into the real world, for good or ill. As much as we all want more normale female Daz clothing, super revealing clothing is fast becoming the new normal.

  • If i were trying to put together a 'realistic' flight attendant outfit I would buy Kobamax's dForce G8F Vest for G8F or dForce G8F suit for G8F on Rendo.  The first one has a vest and second one has a blazer.  Then from there i would look for Freebies for a scarf and put some pilots wings or a nametag. You could buy those things but when i kitbash i dont like buying this product, buying that product and buying that other product.  Another alternative is for the smaller items just make it with Blender and GIMP and import it to Daz3ds and use my own texture and one of the free generic Daz shaders.  If its a small clothing item that isnt going to be in a close up thats what i would do.

Otherwise if i wanted to try making that Sexy Stewardess Outfit for G8F work i would put a t-shirt on her and mess with the collisions so that it doesnt clip through the outfit.  That will cover up her cleavage.  Then get rid of the garters and put some black tights or pantyhose on her.  And instead of high heels i would just put her in some flats or low heels.  Or just dont add in the heel morph for the shoes that come with the outfit and delete the geometry for the heels.

Just remember that your complaint isn't with the vendors or store, it's with the other customers.

If you want a realistic female flight attendant uniform then it's most likely a pair of slacks, a white blouse and a scarf. Alternatively a skirt (~knee length) instead of slacks.

^ This.  I fly several times each year, and for the ladies, I see just standard skirt (just above or just below the knees), clod-hopper shoes, blouse, and skirtsuit coat.  Alternatively, slacks instead of skirt, with everything else the same.  For the guys, it's slacks, shirt, and usually a tie.
