Tyrannosaurus Rex 3 Saddles for Rex2 Also???

Hi all!  Does anyone know if this saddle will work on his previous TRex models?  I've got the other ones and really want this saddle but can't see buying *another TRex just to use it.  So I'm hoping ... :)

T rex 3 only. There will be no more content coming out for the T rex 2.

I don't think it will fit.

Always your choice, but T-Rex 3 is an optimized, better model. It will be a lot easier to render on any given Nvidia GPU.

So true! I love the detail HH puts into his models, but I had to stop buying them because they were just to resource intensive for my projects and my hardware.

HH mentioned in the development thread that the new Rex was more optimized so I took a chance and to my amazement it is a dream to work with and render

That's nice to hear, I also picked him up because of what HH said about him and his future projects in that thread.  I haven't had a chance to play with him yet though

Does anyone know how hard it would be to modify this saddle for a dragon?

If someone doesn't beat me to it, I will try to do test renders of this saddle on a Dragon 3 and also on T-Rex 2 (much) later tonight after I get home from work so you can see if it is a rendering trainwreck or acceptable for your needs.  "Won't work" is sometimes a matter of opinion.

I was hoping the same thing. Since I don't want to miss today's sale, I'm gonna take the leap and get it ... a leap of faith, but definitely wanna see the saddle in action and welcome any tips on how to best use it for dragons or other critters. I've never had a need for dinosaur images (not yet, anyway), but this sadle looks too awesome to not get even though I'm going to have to redo all the textures for 3DL.

Probably doesn't help you now, but HH said he plans to create a Wyvern/Dragon in the near future. Hopefully some tack will come with it.

So initial tests bear out the PA's assertions - not really a good fit for anything other than T-Rex 3.  It fits T-Rex 3 AMAZINGLY!  T-Rex 2, not so much.  The first image is the natural fit when loaded to T-Rex 2 (Alpha Male) on the right side and the second picture is after I fiddled with it a little, mostly using Expand X/Y/Z.  Personally it is worth picking up T-Rex 3 if you have ANY interest in the saddle. (These were just quick 30 - 50 second Iray renders to show the fit).
