ed3D - looks cool, how about moving the mother a bit up or make it a tad smaller so that the feet stay within the sphere?

    @ mtnmen: thanks

@ mermaid010: classy bow tie, or maybe an alsatian headdress. Very nice.

@ ed3D: Atom Heart Mother is a very good job.

@ Henryhor: Deus ex machina - I love it. Very many details and these colors. Wonderful.

    @ mtnmen: Thank you.

@ mermaid: Folds and Ribbons - very nice. Reminds me of a butterfly.

ed3D: Atom Heart Mother is very nicely done.

Henryhor: Deus ex machina has a lovely feel of movement and complexity.

    mtnmen: thank you.

mermaid010: Folds and Ribbons is very pretty and I like that hint of rainbow at the top (I'm getting "butterfly" too).

Henryhor: Very nice Deus ex Machina.Strangely enough, I see two bugs bunnies in your work :)

mtnmen: Lovely Folds and ribbons. For me also, it is a butterfly. I would have liked to see a bit more colour maybe. Not too much be a little more of that reddish part.

My third entry for now: Chess pieces

I made these pieces for another render, but decided to use them again for this one. Added some tori (torusses?) and a tetragon and various lights, including a negative one, providing the darkness on some of the parts. There is a cube around the pieces with a modified 'holographic projection' texture (originally from Davd Brinnen).

I am not sure, whether this will really be my third entry. I am pondering a rather complicated piece that I might nog be able to make and have not even started. Until further notice therefore, this is my third entry.

Hansmar - very nicely done abstract. Yes, the plural of torus is tori, Sméagul Golum would say torussesses. Good use of negative light. I like the contrast of the depth and the repetitions sideways - and the small floating ones at upper left.

    @ Hansmar: Really cool render.

mermaid010- I very much like the subtlety  and colors of your abstract. Looks kinda like one of those bizarre deep sea critters.

Hansmar - Nice abstract, very cool objects.

Hero - LOL, does sound like Golem!

Hope every one has a good day.

@ Hansmar: delicate glasswork, very nice. Looks fragile. Thanks for the comment. Also saw the bunnies, wondered if it would not be better to flip the picture vertically.

Thanks to all for the coments.

Horo, Drachenlords, Dan, Henryhor: Thank you.

Henryhor: why not try it (flipping)? When I paint abstracts, I often try turning the work, when I am nearing the end of the process and often another perspective is even more interesting than the one I started with.

@ adbc: Hey, that's cool. These colors and shapes - it makes me think a bit of the Transformers. Really good.

  • HoroHoro Posts: 10,657

adbc - awesome. There are so many details to see. The eyes with the ears or wings in the centre and just above a hooded head with eyes. On the top corners dragon heads. Great use of that HDRI, pity Ernie (Anne-Sophie) has disappeared from the forums.
