Bah! The cow has a badly named folder and the installer places some content inside a folder called Animal instead of the animals folder.

Mmm, and the Cowshed is in a mis-spelt "Enviroments" category in Smart Content (I'm not on my DS PC just now, so can't remember exactly what the mis-spell was - I just switched on and checked)

luckily i already own the horse, and many poses, morphs and accesories - otherwise i might take it to be a dirty trick

Just a couple of bucolic country scenes - first is Marguerite in her own skin (though I fiddled with a couple of morphs to the legs and eyes, including some original Horsey-morphs)
Second is in the IDG Iray version of the Palomino horse skin - I removed her udders for that one as they a little strange in brown.

Actually I'm really enjoying using her!

I bought the bundle because I really like the look of the cows.  Initially it was very frustrating - the zip file for Mahaut was corrupted, so I had to download this using DIM which I really hate having to do.  For some reason, the installation of the cow and calf didn't work properly - the horns and tails didn't install the first time, though that may have been an error on my part (just can't understand why part of the product installed).  The most irritating thing about the product though is the folders that they install to.  The Calf was installed under Animals/Daz Horse 2/Characters (which is logical), but the Cow was installed under Animals/Daz Horse 2/Characters/Deepsea.  The poses for the cow and cals were not installed under Animals, but in a new folder - Animal/Daz Horse 2/Deepsea.  I know it's not a lot of work to move them (which I have done), but it's irritating to have to move files around to avoid cluttering up my content directories.

Anyway, once installed correctly, I have to say that I am very pleased with the cows.  They will use the Daz Horse 2 textures, but the udders on the cow also take on the colour of the horse texture for the abdomen, which can be a problem for lighter colours.  The Linday Dark Knight textures look very good on the cow.  A few test renders below:

I love the dark knight mat. That works really well. I sure hope someone makes some auththentic cow-centric mats for them.  Like Hereford, Shorthorn (which have great multi color hair patterns), red and black Angus, Holstein (bright white and dark black coloring. Maybe someone will make a good variety pack of mats.

I already bought the cow and calf, because Daz finally morhped the horse 2 into something, they're awesome and have an adorable baby.  Also got the poses, but not buying the girl or the barn.  I'm disappointed that there's all those girl poses lumped in with the cow poses. Just didn't want her poses in my cow/calf pose pack, but it is what it is. Just sayin'. She could have been a separate addon with poses and props, I'd rather have had more cute calf poses and a few calf/cow interaction poses other than nursing. And a couple of the calf poses look just alike but are turned slightly differently.  Calves romp, run, chase each other, and can do more than just stand  there with the thousand yard stare,or lying on the ground. They're cute when they run and play. Give them a boucy ball, and they'll have fun with it. Both my brothers had big farms with cattle and calves, and they do cute things.  Guess I'll find a ball and recruit a couple calves to go for it!

Not unusual here to have things from the same vendor in totally different categories. I guess I'll go back to my routine of making a blank folder extract them to there, then organize before dragging them to my library. I love when a couple vendors here put things in 'Texture' instead of 'Textures', and other boo-boo's in folders. Sigh.... Why doesn't QA catch all that?  They have software that automatically does other things to do with packing the files for the zips, seems liike they need a spell checker, and a process of making sure the content hierarchy is more uniform.

I've downloaded my cows, so will see how it goes.

In my wishlist for now. Would be more excited if there were textures of common breeds.

Yes, very. And would be extremely welcome, too. I suspect the hair she comes with disappears in 3DL.

i thought someone in this thread mentioned they thought there was an old deer here at Daz.  He is, and I've got him.  Very nice to work with.

I know this is mostly about the cow, but Mahaut from the bundle is not too shabby herself (I did use fibermesh eyebrows here, since her painted ones are very faint).

Dang it, I passed on the girl and the barn, but I am going to rethink her now. She is very cute. Not a waif, but just a good size.  Was thinking of using the growing up morphs to experiment, but haven't had time to try.
What is the diorama? What exactly does it encompass? What's included on it?  Only diorama I've ever scene was in a museum in Atlanta about the Civil War. The whole display all around it was called a diorama.
Any idea what her clothing are hair are?  There isn't anything listed below.

I think "diorama" is a bit of a misnomer. It's the pedestal you see in my render (with the dirt path and grass/flowers/weeds).

Here's the same scene with 50% of Caryn HD dialed in.

Nope, it's Denver the baby and Marguerte's that have the butterflies with their pedestals. smiley The girl doesn't, but she does get a herding stick.

Ooh, sorry! I didn't realise the girl had her own pedestal.- I've not taken her for a spin yet.
