Looking for prop? Poloroid photo

Has anyone seen a poloroid photo kind of prop? I was looking for one depicting a character holding an old photograph.... So I could replace the black area with an image.

do you have Hexagon or some other sub-d modeller? ( Silo, Blender? ) it will be dead easy to create a prop to use any existing photograph( needs to be same aspect ratio as prop, or cropped to match).

create/load a cube primitive, scale to right sort of size, do a simple unwrap( this should create your basic UV ) .next slice up your flattened cube( should be a simple Loop Slice tool in any modeller ) so you have the shape of the required image sort of centred on the fron face( i know the polaroid image space is not symmetrical in the Y direction (( up-down )) ). bevel/chamfer all the external edge loops add edgeloops tightly around your image space( this stops it deforming when/if smoothing gets applied ) next, just set your 2 surface groups. export your obj and its UVs, open the UV in your image program, make it 2 layers, flood fill the bottom layer with white, turn its opacity down so you can just see the centred Surface Group, next resize your photo to match the prop, drag and drop it onto the top layer of your stack, turn up opacity of first layer again. merge layers, save out in your preferred image format.

i am sure you know how to load and position/scale a propsmiley then apply the default shader to match your preferred rendering engine, add your photo to Diffuse, tweak the surface settings to get the right amount of gloss/reflectivity. save the scene, apply your lighting and hit rendersmiley

What about putting an image of a polaroid photo on a primitive plane ?

Poloroid props are included in this Daz store item:

I've got this product on my next month's wish list but I see no polaroids listed, although it of course should have polaroids because that's how those photo booths work:

In my experience they just produce a strip of four photos, not a Polaroid-style image with peel-off sheet.

I agree, I've never seen a photo booth which would produce polaroids here.

No they are polaroid technology. Some produce the 4 passport photos like you have saw but others produce actual stickers you peel and stick on books & such (meant for school kids and holiday cards I guess). They are developed in the dark in the machine and aren't dispensed before they finish developing, that's why you don't need to peel off a piece of paper when they are dispensed.

I'm surprised you don't have that product SereneNight, it's sort of a typical couple activity.

Thanks for the recommendation. I will definitely have to buy that photobooth prop. Oops... It just fell into my cart. I will need to make some poses with that.

And I forgot I owned the Z detective pose and prop set. That seems to work quite well.

    Thanks everyone.
