MAC MINI - Anyone Use It fo DAZ Studio

The 2018 Mac Mini - with the included Intel UHD Graphics 630, and without an external GPU? Is it powerful enough to navigate a Daz Studio scene?
Thanks!

The mac mini doesn't pack a dedicated graphics card, Coffeee Lake GT2 system shared. No dedicated VRAM. You may be able to navigate a scene in other than Iray preview but you wouldn't be able to render a moderately demanding scene with a GPU like this unless you have a ton of patience for the CPU to do it all. Even then I doubt it.
If you want a minimum footprint computer there are better options than the Mac Mini. The Zotac Magnus line includes Nvidia GPU's, a 1070 or 1080, and there are versions with preinstalled memory, storage and OS or you can get the barebones version and install your own memory, stodage and OS.
For sure it can handle DAZ Studio as good as an intel integrated GPU on Windows provided there are no Mac specific bugs (and they've (that being DAZ 3D) fixed a few over the last year). If you're really serious about doing a lot of iRay renders fast though you'll want a PC with the most powerful nVidia video card you can afford.
I don't want to do nVidia Iray renders. I'm only interested in if the included Intel UHD Graphics 630 is powerful enough to allow me to navigate through and set up DAZ Studio scenes - or would I need an external GPU (I know, Nvidia doesn't work with Mac).
Thanks!
Yes, very much, they are capable. I'm using a 3rd Gen Intel HD Graphics 3000 that is very acceptable, especially when I limit the size to FHD or smaller. However, it only became acceptable when the 4.11.0.x Public Beta was released and I started using it; before that with 4.10.0.x there was a viewport bug that made DAZ Studio 4.10.0.x practically unusable on my current Intel HD Graphics 3000 laptop.
youre late to the game, back in MacOS 10.8.3 apple added support for Nvidia Gpus... lol
