OMG I just bought everything and with those crazy discounts....I am a bit stunned. I love this character and though I am still holding out for Gianni 8 (maybe one day) I can see me loving this new Elios and all of his friends.The only one I didn't buy was Ercole.

I Like Ellios, bit of a Thor / Aquaman inspirered figure (depending if your a DCU or MCU fan ;) )
Not to impressed with the extras though. I dont do a whole lot of fantasy/comic stuff so the extras are not for me. I do like the character though.
To me his overall look is pretty much achievable with a 50-50 mix of Landon and Vladimir, so unfortunately I probably can't justify buying him right now--although I'd likely snap him up if I didn't have Vlad, since I tend to mix him closer to this. I do really love Cormac, and the Drago hair is very cool.
I appreciate that there are promotions that don't depend on the character.

To be perfectly honest I never use characters straight out of the box and mostly buy male characters for new skins to enhance my Daz3D gene pool, but there are some pretty strong facial features on these characters to morph into great original characters.
One would almost think that Gianni had been renamed. But perhaps more along the lines of Dante...
I can't say I'm a fan.
He looks too much like bits and pieces of other G8M characters we've seen before, not the good pieces either.
Uninteresting face and poorly shaped/sculpted torso.
Pass.
What does Cormac look like without Elios?
You know I think you might be right. I can see some very similar features to Gianni 6
I also thinks he looks like Jason Momoa and Gianni 6. I really hope he doesn't replace Gianni 8.... I like Gianni 7 and waiting for a greate in this way Gianni 8.
Please, can someone who bought show Cormac without Elios? Perhaps with other charakter dealed in? Micheal8 or so?

He's very handsome, very Jason Momoa. But not really going to add anything to my existing gene pool, and nothing I really need in his bundle, so I will wait until he is reduced in the future.
If I didn't already have Vladimir and a few of the other boys I would probably be rushing to buy though. He is a great character.
I've dialled in Michael 8 at 70% and removed Elios - 50% looked a little odd
Hmm. Definitely a good base on which to build things, and I especially like the Elios/Floyd mix in the promos and Orrin's face. That said, Jason Momoa's lawyers may be wanting to have a few words with DAZ, as between the base figure design, the outfits and the "drago hair", the likeness is a bit more obviously intentional than any DAZ base since Reby Sky, and she got a a check. As for the bundles and add-ons... the hairs are nice and most of the characters at least look different, but I always feel ripped off with outfits that don't include a shirt and I'd have prefered to have either the Aegis and Skyhaven outfits replaced with a nice modern outfit. And the add-on selection items continuie to get scaled back. I got an orange bar offer for $70 replacing the base offer of $40, but a qick scan of what's offered shows that it's really worth about $30 total given what the items usually go on sale for. I may be waiting a few days to see if the offer gets any better, as there's nothing in any of the bundle offerings that makes me want to dive in and buy him immediately.
Thankful for a male, though his skin and morph do not appear to be on the levels of Nix & Edward & Floyd, or even Christian & Vladimir & Lee. Really more of a third or fourth tier quality behind Landon, The Brute, etc.
I'd really like for the Daz Originals menswear modelers to start giving us pointed, tailored shoulders on male coats and jackets rather than M4 shoulders. I have countless female outfits with pointed shoulders but male coats and jackets with pointed shoulders are frustratingly rare. I have some shoulder multi-morphs that allow me to ALMOST approximate the look, but not quite there.
Exactly my thoughts. Nor was I impressed with the addons and extra offers. I already have a lot of similar things that look better than what I could see in the promos. Maybe the dForce clothing hadn't been allowed to finish draping, but they don't look quite right to me.

I found him awesome - and what nice surprices. He looks like some hard rocker - so with the correct hair, I'll stick a guitar in his hand and put him on stage.
Never expected him to happen either, I was more or less thinking it was time for Vicky 9. But hopefulle we'll get the cat 8 first. :-)
Elios 8 out of the box but with his Duel Lobe Specular Reflectivity lowered a little as the intense lighting made him look too shiny (I still kept it a bit high as I wanted him to look a little bit sweaty).

I think he's great, nice bundle. Little heavy on the clothes in the extra addons, but that's looking for perfection.
Mainly just relieved to see he's got a heavier frame than michael, lucas, edward, nix, christian, thoroughyl fed up with the slim hipster look.
I don't mind him. Even though he gives me strong Vladimir/Christian vibes, and the stuff in the pro bundle i know i'd never use. I do however deeply appreciate that sturdier boys are the new trend. It's just the sales tax is killing me.

Elios 8 kind of reminds me of if Leo 7 and Gianni 7 had a child for some reason. Here is my side-by-side comparison of the 6 figures associated with Elios:

Elios sounded like a "Greek Heroic" character, which seemed like an appropriate counterpart to "Olympia", but I'm guessing his counterpart is likely to be Elithia.
His stuff is too similar to Vladimir's, to interest me. Though I like a couple of the characters.
I already gave up on Gianni 8 and have moved on to The Brute 8.
Those eyebrows...
..I will take a closer look but his eyebrows aren’t appealing to me. They are too angled and plucked for my taste. And his face I agree has a lumpy cobbled together look. His clothing is very Roman/Greek fantastic and his deal is not very inspiring. So not really leaping to put this one in my cart. Maybe if he had some regular outfits.

I wonder with the heavy Greek fantasy theme of Elios and his soon-to-appear partner in crime if they will continue with a Centaur 8 perhaps. I really, really, really, really, really hope they do a Satyr 8 (ha ha wishful thinking) - I would pick that up in seconds flat, but only if they did a proper and convincing gradation from the human torso to the animal. I wasn't a big fan of the straight cut between horse and human with Centaur 7.
