@Mab , since you're visiting and answering questions, maybe you can shed light upon something I noted earlier when someone asked about morphs.
Why doesn't this set include a simple "cat nose" or "hare lip" morph? Back with the original version of this product for Aiko 3, it wasn't much of an issue.
Another set, the extended morphs for A3 (I think) offered a simple "cat mouth" (hare lip) type morph. But unless I'm mistaken (and I admit I might very well be), I don't recall an equivalent for the Genesis 8 female, at least nothing that is part of a 'DAZ original" set of morphs. Maybe in a vendor's set, but if so, I don't know which one.
Those two lil' morphs would have added so much to this package.

RawArt's catworld + a little HFS cat head. Used normal ears since they are morphed into place.
Also moved/scaled the whiskers to fit the morph better
We toyed with it, but in the end Catgirl 8 was made in a style similar to Genesis Catgirl only majorly upgraded. So, we didn't include G8F morphs. It's possible we might include a morph like that for Foxy Lady since we did originally include morphs with the Foxy and Wolfie set, so the precedent is already set.

@MAB thank you for all the morph information, it's given me lots of ideas and pointers as to how to use my morph sets on Catgirl.
This is a render of Catgirl using Girl 8 with one of Rarestone's morphs for Girl 8 (unfortunately I can't remember which one I used!). I also applied Colorwerks hair shaders to the hair. I got lots of interesting combinations but decided in the end to pick one that was similar to her overall colour palette as a tabby.
The renders came out great, MAB! Thank you so much for sharing the "recipes" with us! :)

I am sorry but this is too cute to pass. As soon as DS decides to load up I will prove what I did. Carp DS crashed before it could open. I really wanted to wait till there was a male version but the catgirl is so cute.
edit: I am guessing G8F needs to be loaded first then textures added and geografts added, right. I am not seeing any preload catgirl 8 type file.
Is there a way to use these textures on G8M or would they look too feminine?
well you have that plugging/addon which allow swap gender skins from 8 male to female (it's something i really missing from genesis 2 which allowed swap skin between male and female)

but to be fair i'm still hoping we can get a "male version here", it is really annoying when we get "only one gender of things" most of the times, for me when comes to "races" is important to take in account which could be good for many of then have "both male and female version" not just one gender, specially in cases like that.
Ah...but don't you realize? There is no such thing as a cat boy. Cat girls breed with other biped species but will always produce females with feline attributes, thus perpetuating their kind!

The Genesis versions look fine on a male version, so these should as well.
Male versions are planned but we're still planning our tentative release calendar, so I can't give an estimated time frame.
While you wait for the male version to come out ... I tried it on a male using Sloshwerks' UV Swap product and it worked well. The geografts worked as well; except for the tail. It doesn't like G8M. It distorts and stretches oddly.
awesome news, as long they are comming no problem wait a little, the only reason i didn't really bought it yet is exactly because of that, i'm wating for when the male version comes and buy then together.
If other content producers, like LLF and the one who produced Sakura 8 went this route, I might be willing to start opening my wallet for character stuff again.
My first go round with Catgirl. I never picked up the earlier versions. They were always on my wishlist, but I just never got around to getting them. I still hope to in the future. I'm loving the new incarnation though. I played around with my own morphs, flattened her nose so it's more cat-like. Added a few more feline like morphs to the face, played around with a lot of morphs until I got a character I liked. Since she's a furred critter, I'm thinking I'm okay in posting this version of her. If not, I'm sure someone will let me know.
That looks really good, Knittingmommy. I'm not sure the policies in the forums for furred characters and clothes either. They changed for the product promos, which is why we made her an outfit, but forums might not be so strict. Here are some for fun renders I did of Catgirl. The two tiger ones I used DForce on the hair instead of posing it. It wasn't really made for DForce, but we've discovered that it responds pretty well to it.

I'm trying to find the exact statement, but the subject was discussed in the Plat Club forum and it was clarified that an anthropomorphic ("funny animal") character CAN be presented "in the fur" as long as female nipples or genitalia are not visible. Shoot I even checked with Richard Haseltine before I posted this...

So I got a question about cat girl used on Caryn 8. If the render uses the cat fur textures on Caryn 8, can I post Caryn not wearing anything since nothing is shown for goodness sake. Now I am picturing momma cat girl changing Baby cat girl’s diaper for some reason? Actually I do not have a lot of baby clothing for Caryn which is why I ask.

@mab since I can't make it myself (tried several methods, but am I noob) I want to ask you here: Is it possible to get some kind of utility thing for the ear patches to use with regular textures, like it has for the tailcore and the catear surroundings?
I mean I want to use the catears with human skin and you provide the utility to do that, but then they still also have the human ears and using the patches only works with the patches textures, except if I missed something.
