Pedro, that Lara-inspired character looks absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait for her to come out!
Also, 3DOutlaw, brilliant Anime render, as always. :P
I don't have any of my own Tomb Raider renders to show right now, so I figured i'd take this moment to highlight someone else's amazing Tomb Raider Daz Studio fanart. TombRaider4Ever has been posting some amazing Daz renders over on the Tomb Raider Forums for a while now, featuring a version of Lara that's directly inspired by the old FMV model from the Core Design games. This includes some gorgeous recreations of classic Lara promotional renders. Thankfully they also have a DevArt page, so you can easily browse through their work: https://www.deviantart.com/tombraider4ever
Thank you so much for posting my render here, for the compliment, and for linking to my Deviantart gallery! I havent been here at the forums for a while, but I remembered that I had seen this Lara thread and the comming Lara inspired charater and thougth I check for updates, I'm so honored to see one of my renders here . I have made several Lara models, a few inspired by the Fmv model from the Core design games, a Legend, AoD and Anniversary Lara model. Here is a recent classic TR promo render remake:
And here's a more recent render:
My Legend, Anniversary and AoD Lara models:
I can't wait for the Laura/Leah character to be released, looks awesome, so very close to the Legend model: head, body and the skin texture is spot on. Classic Lara/ Classic Lara with Angelina Jolie face shapes makes it even more irresistable to me. I will definitely buy it on the release day, which I almost never do, no matter what it is .
Hi , I'm working on a Lara Croft character, That looks like what you want, head and body, but she is going to be Called Laura for Copyright reasons obviously, she is going to be out maybe next month
Lara is a name of Greek origin used throughout the Mediterranean. As long as it is not accompanied by the surname Croft, I see no reason not to use the name Lara. An alternative may be Larisa or Larissa, not always Laura.
Hi @PedroFurtadoArts, run into any difficulty on the character? Still looking like an Aug release? I am not anxious or anything...
Well, I had a go at it, and this is what I came up with, using G3F only. A little more realistic than the face you posted, and definitely more realistic than pedro's awesome looking character. Started with an OBJ of the Legends Lara as a template, then just tweaked around for a while. Had fun doing it, and bought Fredel's "The Gun" as a thank for his freebies! (click it for bigger version)
Thank you, guys! I'm working really hard on this character I might change the name to Leah, I am not making it obvious on the promo images that she is Lara Croft to not get rejected on Pass by the Daz team.
She will also come with 3 face shapes The classic Lara croft, a more realistic version like this .
And a mix of Classis Lara croft with Anjelina Jolie. I am making these 3 head shapes to people to play around to get the classic Lara they prefer.
She looks pretty good. And don't worry about the Daz team. It'll be our little secret.
I'm so excited that she is released, I bought her right away . I have made a render with her already, it's her toon style head 100%. I used her skin along with some skinsettings from Alternate 8, a skin smooth overlay from a character called MRL Ling, skin shine and lipstick overlay from Retroheroine 8 by Fredel.
...and for all of your Retro-Heroine fans, the morph and textures seem to be "easy" to backport to G3F using SY's conversion steps (on DA) and a copy/paste of textures (thanks to help from those here). This is key for me, since all my conversion tools are G3F generation! (again, quick sample for proff of concept, this is G3F, I only converted the default head shape and textures, used Aiko's body)
Having fun with this great morph! Leave it to Lara Croft to pull me away from my typical anime renders I prefer the Rahele character skin on her though, and it renders much quicker. This is G3F. (click for bigger)
Ya know, this reminds me of something. I use a program called Launchbox to keep track of the games I have, and it displays them all with really nice box art and the like. I always thought it'd be pretty cool to add some Tomb Raider Level Editor projects to it with custom box art. I'll have to give it a go once I get around to buying Leah.
Sorry I forgot about this thread I started months ago but am very impressed with the Leah model also and had to purchase of course :D is whats been needed here for a while. Very impressive work PedroFurtadoArts

OMG GUYS, I'm so glad you guys like her!!! I hope she met your expectations!

I finally bought Retro Heroine, so this is a combination of that and this morph (Ali's hair, and Fredel's outfit and guns)
