Mori Kei outfit - Solved

I have a question about the Mori Kei outfit
https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-mori-kei-outfit-for-genesis-8-females

In the promos for the base outfit, all it shows is like a ribbon or sash of some kind around the waist, but in the clay render it shows buttons on the front of the skirt. One bigger button in the middle and 2 smaller ones on each side. If the clay render shows it has buttons, the main promos should show buttons. In reading the desc it doesn't even mention buttons at all.

In the add-on textures, 2 of the mats show the buttons, and 2 don't. So why don't they show buttons in the main promos for the outfit instead of only the clay render? If you don't buy the add-on textures,  will it be an extra step for users of the base outfit to show them?

Not sure since I don't have the outfit, but my guess is that they might show on the surfaces tab with a cutout opacity of 0, and need the textures added?

I noticed that the texture add-ons for the outfit have arm straps, as does the clay render, whereas the promo images on the main outfit don't.

Maybe someone who has the outfit can clarify.

That would be great so the base outfit has all the options listed, and if you don't want to buy the add-ons, you have the same look out of the box.

@sapat I loaded the outfit and found that the base skirt has the option for buttons, but it and two of the add-on materials do not use them. Two of the add-ons do however. So it is an option that if someone has it, and wants to modify the outfit for themselves, there is this option for buttons or no buttons.

I took the time to render versions of the top in 4.12, the new Beta. What I am seeing, is this outfit is very versatile. If someone loves to modify with shaders or textures something, they can have a field day with this. The top seems to have at least 3 different styles. The buttons on the skirt and shoes are able to be hidden, and skirt's tiers and trims are all separate.

    I hope this helps you.

Thanks for taking the time to show me the options  Mary. I just wish in the base outfit list it would have said something about the option to hide/show buttons, and have a couple promos with/without them. I know, thanks to you, that it can and it's easy.

Just was surprised the addons showed something the main promos didn't. Doesn't make the outfit itself any less adorable though, Wishlisted for now.....maybe!yes

I want to thank you for giving me a chance to look deeper into this outfit. I was surprised with all the options for personal modifications. It looks like a versatile outfit for kitbashing and playing with.

Well, then we both came out winners! I just put it in my cart. Can't beat the discount price which will probably be going away soon. Not going to get the addon textures since they look a bit mature for the young 'Tween' characters I am using. Have to ditch the heels in favor of Mary Janes or other flats. The older teens and 20 somethings can have them laugh  So I'm off to play!
