What is the Nerdiest Male Outfit?

For any generation of male figures.  The nerdiest, geekiest outfit, shoes, eyeglasses?

That’s the first one I considered, but without the face morph and hair model, the outfit is sort of just generic - he could be a pharmacist or a movie theatre usher. The glasses are 70s chic.  But thanks anyway.

I would say the outfit looks pretty nerdy without the morph and hair. Look at the length of those pants...

See - that, to me, looks like a professor or something (at least the outfit), while the first one with the shorter pants, bow tie, and pocket full of pens seams MUCH more "nerdy" to me. But I guess it depends on your view of nerdy. However, speaking more on mainstream view of what nerdy usually is classified as, the first outfit "Nerdy Guy Outfit" fills that stereotype much better (again as mainstream usually portrays "nerdy").

If you really wanted to "nerd it up" I think a combination of the Nerdy Guy outfit with the socks and sandals from the "Sweater Vest Style" outfit or even the socks and shoes from the "On Vacation Outfit" would be pretty nerdy together. heheh :) Just my two cents.

Working at a university, I can vouch that professors are often the biggest nerds!

Nerds don't do the socks and sandals thing; they're more into sneakers.  Socks and sandals are a dorky dad thing, as per the the sets they're included with.

  • Socks and sandals are not nerdy anymore.  They have become quite trendy

And what I have observed recently going in to Fall, long pants ending just above the ankles for both men and women. And either way, not a good look. One or two inches of skin, then the foot, sock, sandle, shoe or whatever. It looks like someone picked a 'short' size, when they needed a 'long' or 'regular'. Some recent H&C male slacks have length morphs, which might be useful, https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-hc-spring-casual-suits-for-genesis-8-males is one of them.

And having had a father who was an Aerospace Electrical Engineer in the 50s/60s, the Nerdy Guy look is close, needs a straight tie and longer slacks. But it is classic nerdy for that era for high school nerds.

Agree on the glasses. Add a paperclip to act as a screw holding the ear piece in place as well.

You would be horrified by the Bay Area which seems to be the Birkenstock capital of the world.

I think you may find it difficult to find a consensus, because it’s so subjective, depending on your definition of a nerd and what’s considered fashionable. If you think a nerd is someone with intense and unusual interests then maybe the nerd is the guy/gal in the ‘I heart DAZ3D forever’ (insert fandom of choice) teeshirt. If your perception of a nerd is a person on the autism spectrum, socially awkward or dyspraxic, then I think it’s more about the person than the clothing. Kids can be wearing identical school uniform, but you may recognize the one with additional needs by their body language - hunched shoulders, avoiding eye contact, inappropriate body language because of social awkwardness, wearing glasses because of lots of close reading/computer work (preferable to social contact for many on the spectrum). Maybe those glasses are broken/taped up because this person is clumsy, and their tie may be askew, their shirt buttons incorrectly done up, their pants hitched up too high because of dyspraxia. Their gait is likely unusual too - less arm swing, toe walking, head down. My point is you can put a cool actor or male model in so-called ‘nerdy’ clothes, and they’ll likely look sexy as hell. Think the Kingsman movies, or the stereotype sexy librarian as examples. It’s the person in the clothes more than the clothing itself, in my opinion.

Never understood hate about socks with sandals. I am on street in town, i don't want having my feet parts exposed... Just don't feel like...

Socks with logos and drawings (i see disney socks or whatever on trendy people nowodays) should scream more than just plain socks with sandals
