G8F's teeth became rounded somehow...

My G8F character's teeth suddenly became rounded abd spaced for no apparent reason, and I can't seem to recover the G8F default. Odd! Anyone else experience this? What's the remedy?

Thanks!

Did you install a new G8F character recently?

Don't know the answer for sure, but subdividing things tends to round them and make them smaller, perhaps that could have happened to the teeth somehow?

I'd go through all my face shape and pose morphs to see if they are zeroed.

Do you have Mouth Realism HD morph turned on? It seems to round the teeth a little bit

Usually when that happens, the character was save wrong, and it double applies mouth realism HD if I remember right.

Do you get any error notices? Maybe check your help log file for any issues. Duplicate morphs, that sort of thing.

Something you have done, either by install or saving a morph, has thrown this off.

Are you sure the teeth are the only thing effected? Like are the fingers or toes slightly thinner?
  • I have this problem all the time especially in Blender.  Usually, it's from Subdivision.  I've also found that sometimes using a Character's Full Body Morph + Any Other Smoothing or Head Morph can amplify the problem.  Unfortunately, I don't know a DAZ solution, but those are the conditions I've noticed. In Blender, I can mask the smoothing in a way.  One other adjustment is to use the Teeth Morph to reduce the gap since that makes it less noticeable.... slightly...

Probably a morph has been saved improperly. I find it tends to effect teeth and eyes the most.
