Turbo Content Question. (Solved)

I went ahead and bought Turbo Content while it is on sale today. and there is always the 30 return policy. If I install it and don't like the new content pane in DAZ Studio can I easily restore the old content  library (i.e. by simply using DIM to unistall Turbo Content) ?

Also is the 50k limit of items (https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/4827166/#Comment_4827166) still in existance. I have a very large library and my searches may easily exceed that limit.

The old content pane is not removed at all. Turbo Content supplies its own pane for browsing content (and since it is a plug in and not a script the panes can remain open as you work on the scene), however it does not prevent you from accessing the old content pane.

  • Thanks Havos. Also, ManFriday has stated that the 50K limit in retreiving items is still in effect

Turbo Content does not replace the old content libraries: both Smart Content and the Content Library continue to work. Turbo Content simply adds a new way of finding things. But if you don't like it, you can uninstall it, and then the new way will disappear.

The 50K limit is still there, but to avoid misunderstandings, it does not mean that Turbo Content does not work if your library has more than 50K files. The limit is only applied when retrieving individual search results to avoid inserting 50K icons into the user interface, which would bring Daz Studio to its knees.
