Razor sharp edges?

in The Commons
One of the things that has always bugged me with my renders is the fact that anything with a straight edge has such a razor sharp straight edge. I usually load the render into a photo editor and use a blur brush to soften the corners/edges. But I wondered what, if anything, other people do because, for sure, real life has no walls with such perfectly straight and sharp edges.
Any tips welcome and appreciated.

Sometimes turning on SubD for the object can help round the edges. I sometimes cover stuff when I can with things like vines, etc. Other than that...it's just looking for those artists that go that extra step and grabbing up anything they put out like a fiend *massive side-eye to @roguey and @faveral*
Iray has some smoothing options (at least when the Uber shader is applied) that can help, just select the object on the Surfaces tab and scroll to the bottom:
Sure glad I asked now. Already some excellent tips - thanks, both.
Nothing in real life is ever perfect. To make it "perfect looking" you have to spend hours making it un-perfect.
Round corner radius helps. Values from 0.001-0.01 are good for smaller objects, if I remember correctly - not on my computer atm. It also works on intersecting parts, kind of welds them together without sharp edges, if subD is out of the question. I use it in all of my products.
exactly!! I don't know how many scenes I have passed on because the walls (especially *bricks*) were too smooth and regular! Even moreso with ruins or historical/fantasy scenes...
also, I must mention that: a) I love this quote, and b) it reminds me of Kintsugi (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kintsugi) - at least that sort of perspective/philosophy!
