White viewport - how to get the default colours back?

My viewport suddenly went white, as seen in the attachment.

Could anyone help me to return it to the default colours, please? What wrong button did I push this time?

    I don't know if this is the cause, but you're on Iray preview mode. Try switching to texture shaded.

    Nope, still white. Just less fancy.

    There are two possibilities to change it:

    • Go to "Environment" tab, and check if the type is set to "backdrop" with a color selected. If so, set it back to "none".
    • If that's not the problem, go to Window>Style>Customise Style, there's a setting for Viewport background color.

    As for why that happened, you probably simply loaded a scene where the vieport was  set to white.

    Thank you very much, you saved my poor eyes from burning out.

    The first option did not do anything, but the second option did change it to black. It feels a bit different than the default DAZ settings, but it is still better than the awful white colour.

    Thinking about it, it did happen when I loaded the aircraft from this: https://www.daz3d.com/iron-wasp

    DAZ Studio really should have some option to revert everything to default settings.

    There's a "defaults" button in the window where you can customize the style

    And... I have forgotten the location, but in DS preferences, you can choose not to load the background or something to that effect. Got me banging my head to the wall everytime a scene changed the background color, leaving it as the new "default"...

    Yeah, I was just about to say, there was a way you could lock preferences to prevent your viewport colors from being overwritten again... but I forgot how and where. sad
