I doubt they sold it. I'm going to find out soon.
my fish made it through the night after their traumatic move.
There are several setings that have been moved to singleton nodes, which are created when needed (e.g. on rendering for the environment and tone mapping settings) or from the Create menu; until the node is created and modified the default values are used.
I thought I lost my wireless earbud case but it turned out to be in my pants pocket. The pockets go more to the center of the pants than I thought,
Hmmm... a pocket in the center of pants. I'm familiar with openings on front or back of pants for various purposes, but pockets? Whatever could they be used for? I have some interesting ideas but..., you know..., TOS
not what I meant. The pockets are bigger than what I thought they were. That is what I was trying to say.
Not just a Mac thing - does that on Windows too.
It made tabs appear where I didn't even know one could put tabs! Got it back to the way I want it though and so far the layout is sticking.
With the new empty scene, trigger the creation of the Tonemapper Options and Environment Options. They are now seen to exist on the Scene Tab. Save this scene. Via Edit > Preferences > Startup - select this scene to be opened at start up.
As to the Wiki page, good question. New management.
.............
Read the page ... found this "The company no longer uses that name, and does not treat "Daz" as an acronym for it." So now presumably we can all go back to calling Daz Studio DAZ if we want to :-)
I knew that. I was just having perverse fun with words. Hmmm... "Perverse Fun With Words". Sounds like an interesting daytime TV game show title. Possibly starring Drew Carey and his cohorts from "Who's Line Is It Anyway?".
I looking for budget computers. I found a Intel I5-8279U with Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655 running at 4 Ghz or so. I has 4 cores and 8 threads. It will be intersting to see how fast or slow Iray will run on that CPU. This computer might be the best value that I found so far. I'm gonna back to comparing budget computers now. Later
I think people would end up in the hospital from laughing too hard!

Complaint : My neighbors sprayed my grape vines that are trellised on my fence, with Roundup while spraying their fence line for weeds ,my red grape vine is totally dead ,I have to wait and see if the green grape vine regrows in spring ,what's really aggravating is the green one was finally having a nice load of grapes ,after 4 years of growing and now .........ugh!!
Be carerful and don't eat any of thje grapes. Roundup has been linked to lymphoma.
Also I would consider asking your neighbors to replace the damaged vines.
Hmm thank you hadn't thought about not eating the grapes ,but they were not ripe yet when the vine was sprayed ,so no grapes for me this year ,well not off my vines anyway ........ yeah I may ask them but I'm honestly not sure it will do any good ....oh well
...I'd bill them for it as they went over the property line.
...good to know the finned ones are OK.
Anybody heard anything about Mystaira ?
Nope, still no response to the PM... also it seems like her computer is no longer online (think someone said that her "last visit" update was constantly updating, so she may have left it on with the DAZ page open)...
I hope she is okay... I think she said she was going to Saint Catherine of Siena hospital... I briefly entertained the idea of going there and paging a "Mistylara Mystiarra"... it's in Smithtown, which isn't far from where I am... but that would be weird in an Internet creepy sorta way.
I really hope she is doing okay and just busy with getting better...
It kinda sucks to not know how she is doing.
I suppose if she wanted us to bother her she would have left some way of contacting her... otherwise we still have her PM mailbox.
I think we should just send her get well wishes to her mailbox or whatever the PM thingie is called... so she knows the folks in this thread are thinking about her... I think that helps one heal when they are not well... feeling cared for that is.
I made provisions to inform you folks if I ever get eaten by dachshunds or fall into a volcano or something cool like that... not outta love, or nuthin'... just as a fair warning that I'm going to haunt this thread.
...not yet. Even checked the Carrara Forum which she also frequents but nothing more recent than from around August 11th - 19th. Her profile indicates her last activity was on Sept 7th.
That's good to know it's not a Mac thing... dual platform applications are often a bit weirder on a Mac sometimes... I'll do the scene saving thing too... as soon as I get around to reconfiguring it to something I'm more comfortable with.
Thanks.
Hey I had an idea for "Kangaroo Pants"... (Nothing like my Bee Pants which were made of live wasps glued together, but more practical) ... the kangaroo pants had one big pocket in the front for a large laptop or small child... it was also supposed to come with springy shoes so the wearer could jump around like a kangaroo... the prototype didn't work out that well because my kids kept falling out of the pocket. In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have tested it on concrete or hot glued the pocket on... but I suppose that's what a test phase is for.
That sucks... I never use that stuff, it's basically a weaker version of the defoliant Agent Orange... years ago a chemical engineer I know told me about the similarities between it and the other stuff and I took his word for it, but was still a skeptical because not all of the data is available for anyone to read, but after the lawsuits a lot more info came out and it's as bad as he said.
Sorry to hear your grapes died... people can be so stupid and inconsiderate.
@McGyver Thanks ,Yeah I tend to use a mix of vineager ,dish soap and water to kill weeds ,it's slower and not toxic , but these neighbors are real touchy about their property lines , don't touch their property with out first asking permission ,everytime ,gets a bit old when ,they didn't mention the rules in the first meeting ......it's a bit odd
Do you guys share a fence? If not how in the world did he do that?
I like the look of your new room!
Nah. But if somebody knows her real name, then maybe you could call St. Catherine's hosptal and check on her.
Found out sime time ago, when she was talking about her books. https://www.amazon.com/Misty-Lara-Prendville/e/B002CWX7K4%3Fref=dbs_a_mng_rwt_scns_share

I have a chain link fence, the neighbor has a split rail fence, there is about a foot in between them cause I had my fence put inside my property line ,and instead of using a weed wacker under his fence he sprays Round Up ,to kill the grass and weeds ,and they don't like it that I don't .I have mobility issues , and have to get my son to mow the yard ,which really isn't much since I have 11 huge pine trees not much grows under them .......I put the grapes at my fence cause it is one of the few spots that gets full sunshine . Well if I replant I'm gonna put some cinder blocks against the fence to shield the vines ...
Fun fact is my property was once part of their property and the wife wants it "back in the family" . But while my house was on the market they put up the split rail because people kept thinking that the barn behind my house was included..... and lost interest when it wasn't .See what assumption will get you .......oh and the first time I met them the husband told me that MY fence was an inconveniance, because he left 2 of the rails loose so he could drive his truck into the barn by driving through my yard.....oops my bad .
Well, it's been a bit of a roller coaster type day. Nicholas seems to have sucked all the humity away from the area so during the day it's been extremely pleasant. No real damage from the near miss either. But Mother-in-Law is under the weather, has been since Sunday. Similiar symptoms to an infection she had four months ago, thankfully the pharmcist accidentally gave us two scripts of the antibiotic, so we got her on that Monday morning. She seemed better yesterday but not all the way there.
I discovered that Amazon is now beta programming hardbacks. Neat. My problem, however, is that the softcover of my book is 736 pages. Hardcovers have a max size of 550 pages. I'm trying to see if making the book bigger will get me under the limit, otherwise I'll get into the kindle creation tool and drop the font from 11 to a 9. But I might also have to redo my cover page for the new book size. oi.
Meanwhile, I created some feather serpents.
Edit, going from a 6*9 to a 7*10 worked. I got the count to 548, two shy of the max. /dance
The salt used on roads or 'course seasalt" works better than roundup in my opinion, works also with moss and other types that roundup doesn't work with. Boiling water is also good for small areas.
Then you'll be a mile away and have blisters.
Sitting around a campfire~ Doing a daytime variation of it right now too.
Was an older version of the night scene I kinda liked more, had a good lighting to it... But when I made the decision to make it less misty and darker I found I kinda liked the older version more but could never quite get it back to that point haha, my fault for not keeping an incremental save before making such a large change :P
The older version:
