Complaint : My neighbors sprayed my grape vines that are trellised on my fence, with Roundup while spraying their fence line for weeds ,my red grape vine is totally dead ,I have to wait and see if the green grape vine regrows in spring ,what's really aggravating is the green one was finally having a nice load of grapes ,after 4 years of growing and now .........ugh!!

Do you guys share a fence? If not how in the world did he do that?

I have a chain link fence, the neighbor has a split rail fence, there is about a foot in between them cause I had my fence put inside my property line ,and instead of using a weed wacker under his fence he sprays  Round Up ,to kill the grass and weeds ,and they don't like it that I don't .I have mobility issues , and have to get my son to mow the yard ,which really isn't much since I have 11 huge pine trees not much grows under them .......I put the grapes at my fence cause it is one of the few spots that gets full sunshine . Well if I replant I'm gonna put some cinder blocks against the fence to shield the vines ...

Fun fact is my property was once part of their property and the wife wants it "back in the family" . But while my house was on the market they put up the split rail because people kept thinking that the barn behind my house was included..... and lost interest when it wasn't .See what assumption will get you .......laughoh and the first time I met them the husband told me that MY  fence was an inconveniance, because he left 2 of the rails loose so he could drive his truck into the barn by driving through my yard.....oops my bad .

Are you sure he didn't spray them on purpose? With roundup it will kill anything that a droplet hits on plants. It kills the leaf then works it way into the stem and then down to the roots. He is suppose to be using a piece of cardboard on a fence line to stop over spray. Depending on the roundup he used you may not have growth again for 1-4 years. If that path is on your property tough crap, find another way through HIS own yard.

Actually I'm not  sure he didn't spray the grape vines  on purpose ,but whether it was on accident or on purpose they be dead ...... and yeah the path is my "driveway" it's not paved just a path from the road to theside of the house but my chain link fence stops it .The fence incloses a part of the side yard ,it was for my dogs ,one who has passed ,the other uses pee pads in the house ,since she is deaf ,blind ,and her sense of smell isn't working so good. Yes I have a mop handy at all times .been trying to find her something to do ,cause when she is bored she licks the floor ,Idon't know why but she seems to like it ........and the neighbor has his own dirt road to the barn but it's not a direct shot like my driveway was.

...as I recalled Misty did have a FB page so I checked, but no activity there since 2012.

What I didn't realise is she played bass in a band back in the 80s according to the bio on the Amazon page.

Yeah, after he did that to the grapevines I'd feel no sympathy for him having to take a minor change to get to his barn. I would put some kind of barrier between his fence and yours so it will be harder for that to happen again, but if he sprays again and the wind is blowing in your fence direction it's gonna happen again. About how long are the vines (length running along the fence)? If it's not too long you could strap a thin sheet of plexiglass to your fence so it will even stop over spray while still allowing light through, assuming it lets light though now.

I'm so sorry about the death of your dog. I had a 2 yrs old cat which was my emotional support animal had to be put to sleep 2 weeks ago because he had feline infectious peritonitis virus (FIPV), a feline coronavirus. He was fine on Thursday and Friday we had appointments in the morning and when we got home he was pretty much catatonic. I am devastated about it. Besides my wife, he was my best friend. He cuddled me and rubbed his face against mine numerous times a day. He'd lay with me all day, either in my lap between me and my laptop or on my side with his paws wrapped around my arm. I've never loved an animal like that before. I told the wife and kids I didn't want another one because it's just too painful to get that close to them and lose them untimely. God, now I'm crying again. The wife and kids said BS were getting you another one. We cremated him and were just called to come pick his ashes up

I'm sorry to hear you had to put your fur baby down ,it's hard at any time but when they are young it's always a shock ,and I agree with your family that you should get another one maybe not yet give yourself some time to greave ,then let yourself be open to a new love, nope it'll never be the same ,it'll be new .I'm okay with my dog's passing she was 16 and had issues all her life ,allergies, extreme seperation anxiety , there were times I thought she was allergic to herself, and she had gone blind ,she passed in her sleep. The one I still have is gonna mess me up when it's her time she'll be 17 in October ,she's deaf ,blind ,stubborn ,still on occassion acts like a puppy wanting to play ,it will be a while before I'm over her, when it's her time .So virtual hugs to you .

I'm not sure how to explain to others that I prefer the ceiling fan to be on most of the time.  What is wrong with that?  I know the ac is on but the fan helps circulate the air.  I can tell the difference between when the fan is on or off.  I don't understand why it is a big deal.

I'm sorry for the loss of your cat.

I lost my kitty soulmate 12 years ago.

He was the first animal that I saw put to sleep. It was awful. The vet (and her assistant) messed up spectacularly (left me traumatised, according to my therapist).

Going back to the loss, I guess some wounds never fully heal.

My Mum and I agreed that we'd never have another cat. But, my Doctor said to my Mum about getting another cat, and we did. She's furry sunshine.

We love them, never thinking of the pain that will come when it comes to saying goodbye.

    I'm crying now.

I guess what I'm trying to say  is that, please, don't close your heart to the possibility of loving another cat. I don't know you personally, but from what I've read, your cat - and any that should come into your life in the future (if you choose to) - has been/will be lucky to have an owner like you.

@Carrie58 - I'm sorry for the loss of your dog, too.

Late edit: I had to go and clear my mind.

Thank you guys. I'm going to allow them to get me another kitten but I can't handle it atm. It's gonna have to wait a while. No cat can replace him, He got me through some very tough times over the last 2 years do to my health which was why I was also mia from here. I lost my short term memory due to oxygen deprivation. I have whats called complex sleep apnea. I have the common obstructive and also one called central sleep apnea. The central is the most dangerous one. It's when your brain doesn't tell the body to breath. I stop breathing 187 times an hour and because of that I now have oxygen deprivation. I now have to be on a machine that breaths for me at night. My specialist said I have the worst case of it she's seen in her career. I'm seeing many specialist atm to try to figure out if It's going to be permanent. Because of it I was in a very bad place in my head because I can't remember anything by the next day unless it was traumatic or made me really happy and he was there for me to stop things from happening. He would get up into my face and I immediately felt better. The love he gave me was a life saver, literally, which is why I'm taking it so hard.

    My cat 'Pine' passed away in December a few years back,  I've still yet to get a new cat or a 'pet' of any kind.  Partly because I still feel even some eyars later I'm not "ready" for a new pet, and partly because I still feel its too soon.  Yet I do really miss having a companion like that :(    I've even had a few dreams of her, my cat ;v;

Our animal friends know when their humans are in need, so they're excellent comforters if we take good care of them.   Hopefully if/when you get a second kitty they'll be just as supportive of you and your needs <3

Uploaded the scene I was working on to my gallery~  I painted the custom textures myself, though they're relatively simple since I'm pretty new to 3DCoat still.

Wow honestly that sucks ,but glad you are back and doing better ,ummm maybe post-it-notes would help a little to fight the short term memory loss,or you could have the family leave them all over with jokes and such if nothing else it would be a distraction . I think you will know when you are ready for a new fur baby,or one will show up that tells you you are ready ,happens that way sometimes .You'll never forget him so that's a good thing .

Or maybe you could develop the habit of journaling in the evening, like gazing at the past day and writing down some of your thoughts and feelings, to read them next day in the morning. Very sorry for the harsh way life is treating you @frank0314 :-(

Mr. Summers is slurping loudly at the top of the tank at times.  Not sure why he does it but my theory is because he has big eyes somehow fits in the equation?

I rescued a poor toad stuck to a glue trap.  Sorry for the photos being orientation is wrong.  The pen did help me free the toad.

My computer and phone have so many notes and alarms it's hilarious. That is how I have to remember things. I get up and review everything to catch myself up and spark a brief memory. I can remember what I was doing at that time and the event taking place but I can't remember anything that was talked about or what it was even about. My Dr recommended starting a journal to help spark memories and to play some games that will work on boosting brain activity.

@frank0314 ,personally I'd also recommend ,depending on your age , avioding doorways. I swear the older I get  that every time I go through a door way I forget what ever it was I was gonna do ...... except for the potty ,when I can't remember what I was gonna do I figure it must be go to the bathroom, and it doesn't matter what door way .......

It is easy to remember when you gotta go.  Your bladder make sure of that!

Do not forget to check that the seat is down and the lid up

There are 3 guys and one girl in this house and she has us trained good, not to mention we are all scared the crap of her, rofl.

Yeah well the older you get the less often your bladder gives you warnings .......and the more often you leak ...... still trying to figure out why these are called the "Golden Years" maybe it's something to do with the bladder malfuctions....

now you tell me!  Jk, I live in an all female house.

All the more reason to remember, incase someone had a visitor...

Mom has disciplined me quite a few times because she made a mistake and forgot to check, landing herself on the cold porsline...
Although, over the years I have gained an advance over her... Not enough hair left for her to grab on to anymore cheeky
