Horo : very interesting fantastic renders, the anaglyph looks really like walking in the valley, like NGartplay and mermaid mentioned.

The terrain is from High Resolution Terrains 1 given a material combined from Landscapes under Fantastic Skies and High Resolution Terrains 3. Sky and ambient light by an HDRI from Sunless HDRI Skies and the key light by the sun.

    Adbc - very nice abstracts.

Horo - another outstanding landscape, love the atmosphere.

adbc, beautiful abstracts.  Especially drawn to the blue one.  So surprising how changing up lights and views can make different images.

Horo, your high resolution terrain work is amazing.  The ground looks so real.

    mermaid, NGartplay : thank you.

Horo : smashing terrain, great material and sky.

Hello, friends, and Happy New Year!

Took a long holiday and now I'm back to this thing called Life. Lots of awesome stuff going on and I'm going to add a few things to the mix.

The one titled "Great Hall" had to be post-edited in GIMP to create the horizontal mirror effect.  I don't know if it's possible in Bryce or if I'm doing something incorrectly, but when I create a "vertical mirror" and offset it in each axis by 0.01 it still leaves a noticeable seam and the mirrored portion doesn't reflect the image properly (the colors don't match and some areas are brighter and others darker).  The mirror has no color or anything else that I can figure out which would create this issue.  If someone knows how to get around that or the reason why it doesn't work, I would greatly appreciate your information.

Fence, ewwweeee, those are fabulous abstracts.  Kaleidoscope in Bryce.  I don't know what Gimp can do (thought it was a modeler) but these are so complex.

Wow Art fantastic abstracts, I agree complex but very beautiful.

It seems like the upload is working.

Fencepost : Fantastic abstracts, very sophisticated.

Fencepost - good to see you here. 4 beautiful abstracts. I don't know what happened with the seams. For that kind of mirror, the infinite plane is usually the best option.
By the way, when you add the image to text, do not forget to limit horizontal size to 800, it seems that your images are wider.

Ah yes, upload works again. I just replaced my last 5 images and don't need them on my website.

A tilted terrain with the open underside is from HRT-2 with a material from HRT-1 and the fields in the ground from Vegetation. The boardwalk comes with Bryce 7.1, Michael 3 is from Daz 3D and the camera was self made. Background and ambient light by an HDRI, the clouds from Bryce and the key light by the sun.

    Horo:
    - Fascinating "Mordor" terrains. I really like the mat/colorscheme of the "silver-copper" variant.
    - Your "High Resolution Terrains 3" landscape has great atmosphere and depth. Not to forget the terrain mat.
    - Your most current scene looks like some happy spelunking. Great POV/view!

adbc: Cool stuff! Great reflections and coloring, esp. in the 2nd one.

    Fencepost:
    - A cool series of abstracts! Wonderful pastel softness in the first one. Great reflection and pattern in the following three. The silver+golden one is my favoritee.
    - No idea about said disturbing seam. -- Like Horo, I too suggest to try with an infinite plane mas mirror. Or try to tilt the camera very slightly by 0.01 degrees. Did you disable all atmosphere effects (esp. haze and fog) to avoid their possibly negative impact?

Horo - fantastic work, Michael has an excellent view.

NGartplay, No problem. I know that you can choose to keep limits (for poses) or not.  Some poses exceeding limits will result in very strange results. I try to prevent those.

Hubert, thank you. And spectacular abstracts you made.

Horo, the Mordor-based terrains look very weird. The realistic terrain is very, very realistic with a wonderful texture and great sky too. The one with the man is a very nice point of view.

I made two different renders from the same scene. A bridge from a DAZ architectural set, multiplied to make it longer. A free low poly figure, Millenium Dragon 2 and a humming bird. Streaming light effect by David Brinnen and HDRI enhanced skies by Horo. And, hooray!, uploading works again!

Thanks for the compliments, everyone.  Every time I open Bryce I'm amazed at what it can.  It's so sad it's not moving forward.  I've shown my work to other artists and when I tell them it's Bryce, they're not only amazed, but they tell me that it can do things their softwares can't.

It's interesting to note that these scenes aren't complex at all.  A primitive or 2 with textures, mirror, and bump map create all the magic.  There really is no complexity to the geometry, just the magic of reflections and Bryce.

GIMP is similar to Photoshop, but it's free and open-source.  I only used it here to mirror the left side of the image.

Thanks for the feedback.  I am using an infinite plane and discovered that the atmosphere was on, so I disabled everything and no change.  Also tried rotating the camera slightly as well as the plane, but no improvement.  I'm going to experiment more and if I can't find my error, I'll post the Bryce file for y'all to take a look.

Thanks, Horo, for letting me know about the image width.  I wasn't aware of that and I'll fix that so the images show correctly.

Horo, I like that you put a park ranger in the scene and a walkway.  It gives the cave/arch a theme.  Nicely done.

Hansmar, both views of the bridge look wonderful.  The first is more dramatic in that the shadows are more intense.  The second one is moodier.

    hubert, Fencepost : thank you.

Horo : very realistic view on a beautiful landscape, great atmosphere.

Hansmar : wonderful renders, love the streaming lights that makes the effect different on both views.

A simple render with the Millenium dragon.

Hansmar - thank you. Both renders with the dragon look great. Difficult to decide which one I like better.

Fencepost and NGartplay - thank you.

adbc - thank you. Beautiful dragon render. This red sky goes beautifully with this scene.

Actually the same terrain as above but rotated, The rocks in the water are lattices, the sand and sea are terrains and the Songbird from Daz 3D. The sun rays are from Environments - Inclement Weather. Sky and ambient light by an HDRI and the key light by the sun.

Superb realistic scene Horo, the rays, the sands, the rocks and the bird work together perfectly.

An underwater scene using a coral reef freebie from ShareCG, I added some plants and did the underwater effect using one of David's tutorials.
