haven't you seen Asylum of the Daleks yet? oh,, you are in for a treat - the best Dalek story ever. I've watched it five times already.

I built a real life Dalek about 28 years ago, and i've been meaning to make another for years. it's finding the space thats the problem.

...yeah I know the feeling about needing space. Had a flatmate who not only had a full size Call Box in the parlour but also a full (partly functioning) console that took up most of the kitchen.

    ...no Daleks though...

    ...that's great.

A while back (on the old forums) someone posted a pic of a Dalek with the old suction cup arm tending to a fairly messy loo.

...hah! Found the Dalek in the Loo pic!. It was done by LycanthropeX back in 2008.

    Hopefully this link will work:

    http://forumarchive.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?p=1321918#1321918

    Tested and worked for me.

If it doesn't work for others, its in the " Post your "DOCTOR WHO" pics, ALL members welcome!" thread page #79, fourth post down the page.

I'm a mod at the Dalek World forums, and I made a group picture of the admin/mods over there. Check it out.
I'm the one second from the left. ;) Did one of the Golden Emperor, since he was the only Emperor Dalek I liked, for he was actually mobile, and fought alongside the other Daleks, and up in front. Plus he had some charisma going as well.

Oh I forgot to ask is that a render you made? In Bryce? Or other renderer? Or a photo?

Yes, the scene was built and rendered in Bryce. I only made the walls and floor using Bryce primitives, the rest of the components were individual .obj files I imported and re-textured using Bryce procedural materials.

    :)

I love that Dalek. Where did you find him? I probably should download a Dalek or a few and do some renders and post them here.

That reminds me of one by an online friend of mine who goes by the handle "Mark Skarr":

Of course, at one time Daleks were only seen in black & white on bbc. tv., then again so was everything else. I feel they were a little more intimidating and maybe more real in my mind, although I was child at the time. :) (pipe+slippers)
This is a great thread, and some fine images.
Here is a mk2 from one of Sam Therapy's superb collections.
