So, i have a cowboy dude who likes to dress like John Wayne.

 

uhhh...are there any

  • buttoned shirts with rolled up sleeves
  • double hip holster far .;35 revolvers

for G3/'8M around here?

     i got it, but.....it doesn't have a double holster or rolledup sleeves frown

    ...I wish some of the "old west" clothing for women was a little more "accurate" instead of always having to be sexy..

    There was one outfit for G2F that I almost purchased (Cowgirl for Genesis 2) which at first reminded me of the film The Quick and the Dead until I noticed the cut to the shirt with deep cleavage and slight bared belly.

    Same for a Clint Eastwood style Poncho outfit for G8F.  The one for males has a shirt with rolled up slevees while the one for females has a short cropped shirt (similar to the old Tool Girl outfit for V4)  and cutoff leather jacket.

    Sorry I didn't reply to your PM, but I no longer have the mod I made in the other thread (PC upgrade). 

    I did purchase this one though, but haven't tried to rig it though, the same modeller has a few other styles

    .35 Revolver?

    I always imaged Colt Single Actions as .45 Long Colt or 44-40.  Did I miss something?

     No, it was me getting it wrong. Was supposed to be .38.

    Are Cowboy's .35 Supers a real thing? I've been googling for reference images for my next piece of fan art, but I have no clue. I'm not seeing "Supers".

    .38 Supers, and yes. Kinda. Maybe. .38 Super is a real cartridge, but the specific pistol that he uses is only ever referenced by manufacturer name (Smith & Wesson). Smith & Wesson did produce a limited batch of Model 627s in .38 Super for competition shoots, so unless Jeremy specifies otherwise, I'm fairly certain those are the ones he uses.

    So the simple answer is I think it was Jeremy taking some liberties. While there are a couple of real edge cases of .38 Super in a revolver platform its a semi-auto round. Its basically a .38ACP on steroids, but IMHO has been superseded by hot 9mm loads and others.

    I recall when it became popular in IPSC in the 90’s because you could run Majors with a higher round count. I had access to an STI Grandmaster race gun in .38 Super for a few weeks back then and it simply wasn’t fair. There is still a market for them out there and STI are still out there (as Staccato I think) making .38 Super 2011’s

    I think what Jezza was after was actually a .38 Special, with some sort Colt SSA clone like a Ruger Vaquero for Milos.

    I must admit Im not super familiar with revolvers. I’ve shot small arms competitively since my teens until a few years ago, but almost exclusively autos. Pretty much every one actually, I tick them off like Pokemon LOL

    Me still feely dumbly. They all look thesame
