Weird. Figured it out. Went back into my order history and it wasn't there. Went back to my cart and it's still there! The order went through and I got a confirmation. Good thing it was just the freebie. I ordered it again and now it shows up. Must have just been a hiccup.
After adding the second location, did you switch Current to that location?
Quick question folks, Is there a 64bit version of the Install Manager?
John
NO, it is not neccessary for it to be 64 bit
There is only 32 bit, which runs just fine on a 64 bit system. Install Manager gets nowhere near the memory limits of 32 bit.
Why are these items popping up over and over again?
A Cosy Kitsch Living Room PS
A Curious Tea Drink Me
Heracles for Genesis
L-XV Furniture Pack2 Legacy Ps( I don't even know why there's a legacy version. I use DS4.8 and PP2014)
Ron's Digital Energy
Wild Borders DS
Just wondering.... I made a screenshot also and I'll try to attach it...
Love, Jeanne
There seems to be a configuration error -- I have 2 of those and they're tryong to figure out why they keep repeating. If you go to Settings > Show Log, does it say "6 repeated downloads" after you refresh?
Hi Mike,
Thank you for answering. :)
Yes, it says those products are repeated
BTW, I think it can't count because it says there are 7 products repeated. (see attached file)
So I guess there's a configuration error with these products also?
Love, Jeanne :)
I am looking into this and will try to get it situated. Wild borders does have an extra file on the server that i have requested to be removed. The others don't.
The furniture pack the legacy ps isn't there at all, (it's called legacystudiocf) so not sure what's up with it.
I checked the other products and they only have what should be there for the product. So i am working on chasing this down to get it solved
jen
Ok begging your patience here, but can you delete/uninstall those files you see that are replicated and redownload them then let me know if they are still sticking for you (that means deleting the files completely from your download folder so they aren't there anymore)
jen
Hi Jen,
I'm sorry for responding this late, been kind of busy today (and will be tomorrow also)
I know you're pretty busy yourself so didn't want to bother you with this therefore I posted it here. Anyhow, thank you very much for looking into it and will do as you proposed first thing tomorrow okay? It's almost midnight here in Holland now and I'm dead tired. And I promise you I'll be patient untill this whole thing is solved, okay?
Thanks again,
Love, Jeanne
When I started my computer today and started DIM, they were all there again but the Cozy Kitsch. I uninstalled the files, restarted the computer, restarted DIM, downloaded and installed the files.....
Then closed everything and a few hours later I started the computer, opened DIM and there they were again.... see attached, and the logfile gave them as repeated products
Love, Jeanne :)
Ok thank you Jeanne :) i will keep looking at this to try to solve it
I never really use the DIM, actually I have no reason to use it, it really hasn't work to well for me , I simple manually install all of my items for every package I buy. Never had a problem doing that. I know where everything is in my DAZ Library... did I spelled that word right?
Well after installing only one file that apparently can't be installed any other way then by DIM, I am removing it. This stupid thing will not stop trying to download and install the program and essentials, when I already have those installed, I couldn't even cancel it, I had to go to task manager to stop it. I'm uninstalling it, preferring manual install. If Daz continues to make changes that prevent manual install, I will no longer upgrade the program.
DIM will not download anything unless you tell it to. You can stop a download in progress by clicking the X next to the progress bar, and clear any unstarted downloads with the Clear Queue button at bottom-left. Only the Public Betas, as far as I can recall, have required the use of DIM - oh, and the original PostgreSQL too.
Then there must be something wrong with mine. I click go and it started the downloads, since I could not click cancel. I cleared queue and then went to the other pane and clicked the 'x' to stop the downloads. As soon as I did that, the window came up again to download and install and could not click cancel. Just to make sure that one file I mentioned in the other thread did get installed, I clicked the install for it before stopping the others, so it's now properly placed. It would appear that DIM has me in a cylce with regards to downloading the program and essentials, wont stop trying to do that.
Could you post a screenshot of the window you are getting?
Can't Install The Install Manager - how ironic is that?
Trying to do a fresh install of the Install Manager on my Mac and I get this error message:
Error creating directory /Applications/DAZ 3D/DAZ3DIM1
My only options in the window are: Try Again - Ignore - Abort
If I try again - the same error occurs. If I choose to ignore - it sends a similar error message for the next directory it's trying to create. If I choose Abort - the whole thing shuts down.
I'm logged in as the Admin and my System Preferences has been set to accept any application installs. I don't know what to do to make this work. Can anyone offer some assistance?
First, do you install from a user that has the Admin rights (can sudo)? If you do, then you tripped on a rare bug in the BitRock installer script.
The simple solution is:
Navigate in Finder to /Applications and create a directory named DAZ 3D (Don't forget the space between DAZ and 3D). Be sure that the you (the user) have privilegies to write there.
Hey Totte! Thank you so very much. Worked like a charm. : )
Question:
I have had to wipe a drive where Studio was installed. Used the IM to uninstall just for housekeeping.
I do see ALL my goodies here by looking at my product library. How can I get the install manager to refresh the READY TO DOWNLOAD side with the items previously installed that were uninstalled?
Is that possible or is this a "one-by-one",by hand operation? Or am I hosed?
If you click the reload icon (first one at the very top) it should refresh the Ready to Download list with everything that isn't already installed/downloaded.
Thank you.
I thought that for DIM I had used the same password I use for the DAZ store, but apparently not, because when I downloaded the new DIM version and put in that password, it told me that password wasn't correct. However, it does not seem to have a way to recover the password or create another one. How can I do this? I have material that I need to download through DIM, and since I changed to the new version I can't open DIM to do that due to the password issue.
If it's rejecting the password check that the email is right - they both need to match your store details, since DIM is logging in to your store account.
This shows up.
"Install Manager cannot find a required path. The package for "Photoshop 3D Bridge for DAZ Studio 4.8+ (Win 64-bit)" requires that the installed path for "Photoshop CC, CS6, CS5, CS4 (64-bit)" be defined. Make sure that a path for this application is present on the "Applications" page of the "Settings" dialog, then try again."
I have the latest 64bit Photoshop and Bridge CS5 builds. I run an HPDV5 with Windows 7 Pro on a 7200rpm harddrive. AMD Turion Ultra Dual-Core Mobile ZM-80, 2.1 cpu and an ATI Radeon HD 3200.
Any ideas?
Have you gone to DIM's preferences (the gear icon at top-right) and in the Applications tab used the + button to add an application, setting the name and version to the Photoshop version you want to use the bridge for?
