Here's a screenshot of the screen Richard is refering to. I entered the path of my Photoshop application by clicking on the three dots button and navigating to the location where Photoshop is installed on my computer. After doing that, the DIM will install the Photoshop Bridge correctly.
The ... button lets you change the path for a listed application, but there won't initially be a Photoshop entry - you have to use the + button at bottom-left to create the entry.
Oh, yeah, the + button. I forgot how I got Photoshop there in the first place. That was long ago for me.
I have never been able to get this to work for me so up til now I have been down loading every thing manually. Now I want to download DS4.9 and the only way I can get it is through DIM.
I'm on a Mac os10.thelatest. and the DIM is the latest and I followed the given instructions and refering to the enclosed screen shots you can see what I have done in the filter window.
I get a series of file listed i the filter field upper right hand corner but can get nothing to load in the Product Name list. What am i missing?
Click the red X by the search box to clear it.

why do i have to have dim to buy michael 7?
DS basically a dead end now.
You don't need DIM to buy or download Michael 7, but why do you hate/fear DIM?
I have been using DIM ever since it came out. I don't have any problems with it except a little nag. I have downloaded all the thumbnails for my purchased content so when I hover the item I can seen a thumbnail of it. However there are a few items even though the thumbnail is downloaded the thumbnail won't appear. Is there a way I can fix this?
I would suggest submitting a bug report. Can you list some products that have this issue?
I have a similar problem with DIM thumbnails. In my case, some products seem to have no thumbnail. Even though I select the product and tell DIM to download the thumbnail. I get nothing.
Some examples of fairly new products:
Here are a few but I have more than this
Dark Storm Sword,
Edit Hair For Genesis 3 Females
Vagabond For Genesis 3 Females,
I have
I have no thumbnail for them either.
I don't own Vagabond For Genesis 3 Females.
There seems to be a trend here, that is it the Platinum Club products causing the most problem.
Question: where are those thumbnails stored on my harddrive? Does somebody know?
I don't remember where they were stored by default. I changed mine according to these instructions from Richard Haseltine.
Is there a way to make user defined filters for the DIM? For example I want all things for Genesis 3 male. I could search Genesis 3 male but it will not show up Leo 7 for example. Is there a way I can save the user defined filters and distribute them for others to use?
edit: the Daz online help files were not that helpful unless I do not know how to look up the helpful page?
Thank you!
Found it - as I have symlinked the whole public documents DAZ folder and moved it to another harddrive, my SSD is secure. :o)
I can't find PostgreSQL to download (not in instal manager. Can someone help?
Make sure you have Software ticked in the Download Filters box on the Ready to Download tab.
I've disconnected by 4.8 content library, reset the CMS database and created/building a new 4.9 content library using Daz Connect to install products when available. That leaves DIM to install any non-Daz Connect installable products. The ones I've identifed so far are the Gen 4 base models. I need a filter in DIM, preferably, to filter DIM only products or a Product Library filter to indentify non-Daz connect installable products similar to dim::no
If there isn't a means, I'll submit a DIM enhancement request and hope for the best.
Currently being tested according to the change log: http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/install_manager/change_log
What, exactly, are the necessary conditions for DIM to successfully install Smart Content metadata? I've noticed that sometimes it doesn't happen (no error message; just the product not showing up in Smart Content in Studio), and haven't yet figured out why.
In 4.8 or 4.9? Any message in the DIM log?
Thanks Fixmypcmike. Great news! Teach me a lesson to create links to the application change logs.
I use DIM alot. Is there any way to get this software in 64bit? I would also like to see it with Metadata tools built in? I like custum catagories and with this built into DIM this would make the program a Jewel.
The 32 bit version will run on a 64 bit system. There is no need for a 64 bit version as it doesn't need a lot of memory.
I noticed the problem after updating to 4.9, but it looks like it's been happening since 4.8 or maybe even earlier.
Here's a sample of the log message (finally found one - it wasn't easy working around the thousands of "Product X has invalid tag: CloudAvailable" messages):
