Whelp, it looks like G9 might be a viable character for me after all.
Two tanks; guess which one's G8.1, or G9?
EDIT: Had to get rid of the other render, I was too hasty!
Is the one on the left G9?
Don't want to ruin it for the others, but **** it, I'll tell!
It's not, that's G8.1, the one on the right is G9! :)
EDIT: Here she is when not slaying beasts and bandits!
So started this one using G8 Female using the plethora of morphs I had for G8F. I than used a tutorial to convert it over to G9. From there I tweeked it further with the G9 morphs I had. Threw on Victoria skin texture and played with the colors and weights to get a nice green coloring. Added a Josie Makeup option as well as a War Paint Lie from the Freja bundle. Viola a Goblin Female Warrior.
You did a lot of work. Thanks for explaining your workflow.
Here is a masculine G9 morph mix with Kala 9's skin.
Fabulous!!
I'm just now reading this - so sorry. I got Covid at the very end of December and spent a week in the hospital. Took a month to feel better and by that time I forgot all about the thread ;).
Most of the characters I made I used the few free morphs that came with the G9 starter essentials. The rest I made in Hexagon using the Hexagon Bridge to go back and forth. Mostly they were nose morphs and a couple at the brow. Nothing major ;).
I hope you are feeling better. I have a co-worker that is still not fully over his COVID.
Thanks, Laurie. I got Covid at the beginning of January while traveling. Luckily I didn't have to go to the hospital. It did take month to get over it, thugh. I still cough more than I used to. Overall, I feel OK, though. I hope you are good as new by now.
I feel like myself now. Thanks :)
Oh, sorry to know that. Hope you feel better now.
Thanks for the tips. All of your characters looks fabulous.
I am trying various morphs pack, but the results are not always interesting to see.
Will continue my experiments.
All the best for you - hope you will feel better.
@AllenArt and @barbult I hope both of you continue to recover back to your best selves.
While not getting Covid, my autoimmune disease went out of whack and finally coming back into line again.

Nothing fancy this time, just a (nearly) straight Torian 8 manual conversion to Genesis 9. The skin and HD are all from Genesis 9 characters (I think the skin is Nathan 9 and the SSS maps are from Ghengis) (Michael 9 and Nikolai HD). Also wearing G9 eyebrows :) I did increase the size of his eyes a little bit and pulled them down a little.
@AllenArt, That is a nice looking guy. What manual technique did you use to convert him?
I tried to make Eleanor's brother. It uses 100% Eleanor Head, and 59% of her body, and many other morphs. I couldn't fix the pecs satisfactorily with her body dialed in. That is likely a lack of my skill. I didn't try real hard, since they are not in my portrait render.
I'm back to my normal self. Sorry you were suffering, but good to hear that you are on the road to recovery, too. Interesting tidbit: Aging is now considered a disease, my doctor told me on Tuesday.
Thanks. I used the tutorial from Catherine3678ab in the freebies section, but before I exported the morph I changed the size to as close as default G9 as I could get it. Then I used RSSY's Eye Adjuster script to get the eyes in the right place (because they weren't). Then I exported the "morphed" eyes and brought those back in with a controller and pointed them at the Torian 9 morph. It took awhile for everything to get adjusted let's say...lol. If I do it for every one of my favorite characters I'll still be at it when I'm dead. LOL
This is my second take on a masculine Eleanor. I like both of them.
I didn't immediately find Catherine's tutorial (I'll have to look harder). I found one by Jay Versluis that I followed. I definitely need to try your suggestion of adjusting the size before exporting. Anyway, I converted Kala 8 and Charlotte 8 and mixed them 50/50 and applied Kala 9's skin and HD morphs. I think it is a beautiful combination.
Lovely :). And I like your older men too :)
You said you used Jay's tutorial and it's basically the same as Catherine's...lol. I mean, there's really only one way to get an earlier generation over to the current one (that's available to the average user anyway) other than a converter or manually.

Some of you who have downloaded my jewelry freebies for Genesis 8 Female may vaguely recognize this face. I call her Raven because I always liked her best with black hair, and it IS the same model, only transferred to Genesis 9 and having had a little tweaking ;). I think she definitely looks better on G9 than she did on G8 :P
Thanks. Sorry I am slow to express appreciation. The forum is giving me fits these days.
Lovely. I like the soft focus/airbrush look on her skin. But I don't recognize the earrings.
Because I haven't finished them yet. LOL
So, the Genesis 8's mix really well with the Genesis 9's. Since I'm much better at mixing men than women (IMHO...lol), here's one. It's primarily Christian 8 (I converted manually - I feel I get a better, cleaner shape that way) and he's wearing Ivar's skin for now. There are also LOTS of little morph tweaks. That awesome hair is by Uncanny Valet (and if they would make more male styles, I would buy it instantly...lol) ;)
Your Christian conversion mix looks very good. I think I'll try a Christian conversion next. Here is my manual Ollie conversion to G9. I also converted his small nose morph. He also mixes well with other G9 men, but the result is not as handsome as your guy, considering that he is Ollie, after all.
