Blender doesn't Render Hair

July 2023 in Blender Discussion

So, I recently started using Daz3D. And I can't figure out to export hair to blender.
I Have look around on the internet for about 2 days now.

Things I have tried.
- Diffeomorphic (current result)

- DaztoBlenderBridge

- Import the hair separate

- And change materials/shaders.

If the hair is not rendering -- that is, if it's rendering as black -- you need to increase the transparency in the light paths section of the render panel in Blender. Otherwise, could you be more specific in what exactly is happening?

And what type of hair is it?

For sbh and dforce hair you have to convert them to particle hair, since blender doesn't render polylines. The conversion is not automatically done by the importer because it needs the user input to decide how to approximate, there are various possibilities both for strands and materials, so it is left as a manual step.
