Here is another IRay render I did judt last night it is a crystal ball!!
How can I get the reflection off the crystal ball itself????
Cute render!
You could set Glossy Reflection to 0? Maybe?
very nice work! love the face morph and that hair is perfect for her.
Thanks Timmins, I will try that on the next render of the crystal ball.
Darn if that isn't how i look in the moring trying to get my jeans on..lol

I was messing around with some lighting this is my madness i got. Click for best view full size 1080 HD
@Saphirewild What type of surface to you have on the ball to start with? Something Iray ready with lots of reflectivity should work, but you need enough lights in the scene to interact with the ball. If it was a surface for 3Delight that you converted then as Will suggests, I would play with Glossy Reflectivity and/or Glossy Roughness as some surfaces don't get converted correctly by the Iray Uber Shader and the biggest ones are reflective surfaces.
@DeathKnight Great render. She has a very unique face! In a good way. :)
@Ivy Yeah, you and me both! :)

A new released Iray Genesis 2 girl I got at rendo today, she really is lovely , she looks a lot like young Kyra Sedgwick to me
Ivy, are you on a Mac?
I've noticed a number of images seem over-dark to me, and I seem to recall the way images are displayed on a Mac tends to cause some variation.
The following uses Ape World's Chimpanzee skin, which I just was mentioning works really well on a number of animalistic characters. The rest of the image uses my WTP shaders.

This is a revisit of an older scene to change some things (added GM3 for one) and see how it does in IRAY instead of Luxrender. Setting up lighting is so much easier in Iray with the interactive preview renderer.
I like it !
Hi Will
Nope I'm on windows . I think it maybe dark because I used the daz native lighting through a skylight in the modern day apartment model with no other lights added.
this new girl is fairly pale skined so she render much better in the dark. this beach render using a HDRi shows how light she is ..lol
I would not recomend her staying un covered on the bench long or she be burnt up..lol
A little period vignette
Well have gone back to fixing up my G3M Lycan I had to opt fiber-mesh for the fur so I could have something working in Iray
This is Winterland rendered in Iray set to Sun and Sky, draw Dome on and using the Winterland Skydome, I used the Let It Snow shader on the terrain as it didn't look right when I converted everything to Iray using the Iray Uber Shader and added the Snow Flake Array. There is also a different image HERE.
Fishtales, that is awesome, great job!
Thank you.
Every time I look at it I expect to see Santa on his sleigh flying past trailing a Merry Christmas banner :)
No kidding! I have winterland in my wishlist and seeing what you have done with it in IRay makes me want it more.
Ok, tooting my own horn.
These two images use no texture maps of ANY kind. None.
What figure, I like the face morph, can only imagine how good he'd look with detailed textures.
Combination of Marius, Creature Creator's Wizard, plus a host of tweaking with Aging Morphs, Vascularity, etc.
Very nice! The skin shader is coming along, too.
Toot, toot.
Wake up, my little sisters!
:D
Only maps are hair; I've added iris colors and sclera.
Five skin tones. You can make them look more realistic with a freckle layer, or use lip and blush masks from various texture sets to add a little more variation.
Obviously, the lack of lighter palms is unrealistic -- I might see if I can make a mask for that, since that's something you can't easily crib from skins.
Zahara hair turns out to look fantastic with Unshaven 2 shaders. Woo.
I gave some of the Plushies a face lift and rendered them in Iray. I ran the final image through a couple of Filter Forge filters in post.
Wow, that old man & snow scene & the others were very nice.
Water is one of my shaders I'm working on. Sky is Iray Skydome SuperPAK (procedural shaders are good and all but there are times when nothing works as well as a texture)
Two renders! I'm back on a productive roll this week. And both with very minimal postwork (just tonemapping and adding the signature), so I feel less silly sticking them in the Iray thread.
I almost tried to figure some way to render the abstract fireflies in cycles and try and composite them, but I really liked how I got the reflective floor and bloom to look in Iray, so it would've been way more trouble than it was worth. But cycles does such prettier bokeh :( Why dont you have an option for blades Iray? So sad. On the other hand look at that weird starry carpaint mirror floor, so shiny.
Oh right there's a person too...oh look at the neck, collarbone, and shoulders. I modelled that and they're so defined I'm going to be dialing them into characters for a while.
Render 2
Its a very aesthetic shotglass. Oooh the caustics, and the absorption of the liquid, see how it gets lighter around the edges? I just find it so satisfying to look at. I also really like how I positioned my signature, It blends so well. Seriously I like this image way more than the first one.
